Bandai Namco is one of the biggest – and, honestly, only – supporters of PS Plus Premium’s classics catalogue.
It’s perhaps no surprise to learn that the original Time Crisis game is coming to PS5 and PS4 as an emulated PS1 title, then.
What’s particularly notable about this release is that Implicit Conversions has added a new layer to its emulator, allowing you to experience the traditional light gun gameplay using the DualSense and DualShock 4’s motion controls.
Obviously, that’s not going to feel like you’ve got a GunCon in your hand and a big CRT monitor in front of you, but heck, it’s better than nothing.
The game will be available with PS Plus Premium in May, which we’d estimate to be 21st May.
PSP game Tekken Dark Resurrection is also coming to PS Plus Premium in March, which again we’d estimate to be 17th March.
The only downside to these announcements is that Bandai Namco’s retro titles don’t tend to support Trophies, but we’re still happy to see these two preserved in a more modern format.
