PlayStation is leaning into merch once again, and this time, it's partnered up with toymaker McFarlane Toys. The company has announced a new range of official PlayStation franchise action figures.
The press release says the toys boast "ultra-articulation" and will come with "an assortment of accessories".
The first line of figures coming to market are based on Helldivers 2; releasing in Spring 2026, you'll be able to get Super Earth soldiers dressed in B-01 Tactical, CE-35 Trench Engineer, SA-04 Combat Technician, and TR-40 Gold Eagle armour sets.
After that, in Summer 2026, it's the turn of God of War. There are fewer details about that, but McFarlane says there's more to follow on that front nearer the time.
The partnership seems pretty robust, as the company has named several other PlayStation games that are in line for the action figure treatment. These include The Last of Us, Uncharted, Twisted Metal, Ghost of Yōtei, Ghost of Tsushima, Horizon, and even Bloodborne.
If you're a collector or just a big fan of Sony's game series, it seems you'll have plenty to look forward to, as there are lots of action figures coming down the line.

Darkhorse sent me an email the other day that they are going to do life-size Helldivers helmets. If anyone is interested in that sort of thing.

Should have gave the licence to neca instead, mcfarlanes facial sculpts are either really bad or average at best, the mcfarlane of the early 2000s is long gone
The NECA faces for Joel and Ellie in the part 2 2 pack was ass
No Ratchet and Clank or Astrobot?
I would love some ps figures but its sony so you know theyre going to be way overpriced
I guess this will be more merch to help keep Gamestop and similar stores in business. 😂
The spin master partnership didn't last long
Oh God, not McFarlane! Any toy collector will tell you that their figures are terrible. The proportions are jank, no thigh articulation, the accessories are nonexistent, and they're over seven inches tall so they don't scale with any other toyline.
What a shame. The short-lived Spinmaster Playstation Shapes Collection was excellent.
@Areus based on the games listed it looks like they are sticking with human characters which makes sense because it is McFarlane handling it. Bad news is that McFarlane is handling it so they will be bad.
McFarlane huh...they did nice figures but i heard their quality drop over the years.
I prefer Storm Collectibles. Their Street Fighter figures looks solid.
@Areus Astro Bot has a cute official Nendoroid figure

I guess no more Spin Master? That kinda sucks. But it's nice Sony seems to want to continue making merch for those that want it. Guess I'm in for another Aloy figure.
