PS Plus Premium's PS3 Game Streaming Is Currently Broken 1

One big benefit of subscribing to PS Plus at the Premium tier is access to a catalogue of PS3 games you can stream via the cloud.

While you can't download the games to play them locally, the streaming service is more than capable, provided you have reasonably good broadband.

Unfortunately, members are unable to fully enjoy this perk, because it's currently not working properly.

At the time of writing, if you try to begin streaming a PS3 title that isn't already in your library, it won't work. There's not even an error message; the button simply does nothing.

Reports about this started hitting Reddit (thanks, PlayStation Lifestyle) a few days ago, and there doesn't appear to have been any communication from Sony on the matter.

There does seem to be a workaround, which involves booting up the PS Plus app on PC and starting up the desired PS3 game, which will add it to your library. You can then close that down and continue on PS5.

Others suggest adding the games to your wishlist, and beginning the stream from there.

Hopefully Sony acknowledges the issue soon and fixes the problem. We'll update this story as and when that happens.
