The world of Genshin Impact never stops expanding, and 14th January will plot the arrival of the Luna IV update in the action RPG’s ongoing Song of the Welkin Moon saga.
With it will be two new 5-Star characters: the highly-anticipated Columbina and Zibai. The former focuses on Lunar reactions, while Zibai massively enhances the prowess of the new Lunar-Crystallize reaction, a new outcome triggered through the combination of Geo and Hydro elements.
Columbina will flank the first half of the update alongside Ineffa, while Zibai will feature in the second half with Neuvillette. The latter banner will also introduce new 4-Star character Illuga.
Of course, this being the Lunar New Year update, Lantern Rite will return. This will be a permanent update this year, so you’ll be able to tackle it at any time. You’ll find rewards like Xiao Lanterns, which you’ll be able to place in Liyue to share well-wishes with other players.
There’ll also be a generous helping of free rewards, including 1,600 Primogems, 10 Intertwined Fates, and a free 4-Star Liyue character.
