Street Fighter 6's New Battle HUD Setting on PS5, PS4 Is So Simple Yet So Fun 1

Oh, it’s hard not to love this! Capcom has announced a new Battle HUD customisation feature for Street Fighter 6 which will launch next week, on 16th December.

The concept is simple, but a lot of fun: you can change the design of the overlays in your game to one of the franchise’s previous entries.

Supported designs at launch will include: Super Street Fighter 2 Turbo, Street Fighter Alpha 3, Street Fighter 3 Third Strike, Ultra Street Fighter 4, and Street Fighter 5 Championship Edition.

We reckon that Ultra Street Fighter 4 option, complete with the game’s graffiti-style font, looks particularly crispy.

Here’s the catch, though: you will need to buy all of the above HUDs from the in-game store. Presumably they’ll be available with Drive Tickets, but we imagine you’ll also have an option to use Fighter Coins, which you can obviously purchase with real cash.

Everyone will get the SimSim design for free, which is based on the CPU robot you can fight in the Battle Hub, so that’s something we suppose.

As long as these don’t cost too many Drive Tickets, we absolutely love the idea of incorporating retro UIs into the game. Hopefully Capcom adds more over time, too.
