A brief new trailer has been released for FBC: Firebreak, the co-op first-person shooter set in the world of Control.
It offers a quick glimpse at the gameplay, which revolves around containing various supernatural threats as they break out across the Oldest House.
These include fires and intense heat, pink explosive goo, the Hiss, and even rogue sticky notes.
Perhaps the most notable thing about the video is the reveal of an upcoming "special livestream", which is set to include "brand new content and exciting news". A release date, perhaps?
The stream is scheduled to air on 24th April 2025 at the following times:
- North America: 10am PDT / 11am MDT / 12pm CDT / 1pm EDT
- UK/Ire: 6pm BST
- Europe: 7pm CEST / 8pm EEST
- Asia/Oceania: 2am (Fri) JST / 1am (Fri) AWST / 3am (Fri) AEST
It's worth remembering that this game will be launching straight into the PS Plus Extra catalogue when it does eventually launch, so won't cost you any extra to check out.

I can totally see the logic for a Control multiplayer game, attracting the same audience as games like Phasmophobia or Left 4 Dead or Lethal Company or Dead by Daylight. I think it will do well with critics no matter what, but I think commercially it will either fall flat on its face (simply due to an overcrowded market) or explode like Helldivers 2.
@MrSensical co op Shooters aren't an over crowded market.
@Cutmastavictory Ever market is overcrowded if it’s one we don’t personally enjoy. Basic human psychology.
Cool. Looking forward to this even though I don't really have any friends that will co-op this with me. I'll just have to stick to randos or find people in forums online.
@Cutmastavictory we'll have to agree to disagree. I mentioned games that make me think of this one, but ultimately it's competing with every shooter where you can form a team with your friends on the market right now, and we have plenty of those that come out and proceed to fail.
@pushsquare nice touch to add mitteleuropäische Sommerzeit for us germans ❤️
.. I don’t knw what’s going on but it’s Remedy who cares🥳
I loved Control, and this seems like more of the...well, not quite the same, but similar, and in some ways wackier. I'm not a fan of online games (I prefer to be able to hit pause when I want to), but with my kids grown up I get fewer interruptions than I used to, so I'll definitely give it a shot.
Control was alright but I'm not into it enough to play a multiplayer shooter I'm afraid.
I will be passing on this one
From the trailers alone. I haven't really bought in into this. Remedy showing more the game is nice and I will tune in to see what else they got going on.
