Destiny 2: Lightfall Will Take Guardians to a Neon City on Neptune

Neomuna is like nothing else

Destiny 2's next expansion, Lightfall, launches on 28th February, and it will see Guardians travelling to a secret city on Neptune, seeking allies in the fight against the Shadow Legion. We got our first look at the new locale in a trailer that explores the neon streets of Neomuna.

In addition to an all-new campaign, players can look forward to new subclasses which revolve around Strand, an element which harnesses the power of the Dark and will be essential in the battles to come. There will also be a new raid, strikes, weapons and armour to find, and an entirely new Season Pass for the most dedicated Guardians to work their way through.

Oh I sure am excited to go explore another boring ass patrol zone like every other area Bungie has done... I want to be proven wrong but so far this is looking like more of the same like Witch Queen.

I can't bring myself to play this year's season. I played one of the new seasonal missions and then had to do playlist activities to progress the story. I am so over the same old playlist activities and the same cycle of having to do them over and over to get anywhere. I have some guns that need 400+ playlist activities to level up. Maybe if they were not negligibly easy, it would be more entertaining, but I they have been at power level 1350 for as long as I've been playing Destiny 2 and the cap for this season is approaching 1600.

I reload Destiny and enjoy the free activities each time an expansion releases but don't feel compelled to play more. I loved Destiny 1 but D2 has turned into something unrecognisable from that experience. Self-aware and the aesthetic is all over the place. They never got a handle on storytelling either. Taken King is the highlight of Destiny in my opinion.

I might just buy the expansion to play along with the story but this year's grind has been terrible, who knows its still 6 weeks away so I might play it but I havent touched this season because it doesnt interest me at all

I like the neon aesthetic and all that but I can’t fathom pulling myself back in for another expansion.

Gonna wait for Destiny 3….is that a thing? Destiny 3 I mean

@TheCollector316 This seasons activities seem to adjust the brain dead difficulty by locking you 5 power under and upping the add density.

It's actually a decent challenge and all the seasonal activities are fun (unlike the other 3 seasons this year) - if you already own the season I'd give it a try.
