After a couple of delays, Morty has finally made his arrival in MultiVersus.
You can play as the hapless teenager in the game right now, provided you can stump up 3,000 Gold, 700 Gleamium, or a Character Ticket. For those who might not know, the character is one half of the grandfather/grandson team in the popular TV show Rick and Morty, in which they frequently hop through time and space together in ridiculous and often disturbing fashion.
The free-to-play platform fighter is also now in Season 1, which includes a fresh Battle Pass with 50 tiers of rewards. Along the free Battle Pass, you can earn 1,500 Gold, getting you half way to unlocking Morty, and you'll probably earn the other half from completing matches.

As someone who doesn’t enjoy Live Service Games, this one is great fun!
I wish the free battle pass had at least one or two more “variants” before Rank 50. The reward is so little that it doesn’t really entice me to try to reach it. Anyways, I’m excited to try Morty out whenever I next pop on. Can’t wait for Pennywise to eventually join. I’d main her any day

@J2theEzzo why is it’s name Penny then ?
@nomither6 some quick Google research tells me that the name Penelope, or Penny, for short, can be translated as thread/ weaver, and as Pennywise shows itself to be a giant spider at the end, perhaps it's a clever 'spin' on that- though I believe that'd be a probably greater reading into it than is necessary- as it essentially feeds on fear and shows itself to be whatever people are afraid of.
But hey, if you're so wise, why don't you tell me? 😉
