The Assassin's Creed Valhalla updates just keep coming. The game's approaching its first anniversary, and Ubisoft is far from done when it comes to adding new content. Next week will see patch 1.3.1 arrive on both PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4.
Due to release on the 7th September, it sounds like another meaty title update. It'll include three new River Raid maps, Nightmare combat difficulty, three new abilities, and fresh equipment — which includes a short sword, apparently. We assume that the patch will include various adjustments and bug fixes, too.
Good stuff, but are you still playing Assassin's Creed Valhalla? Might you Valkyrie Dive back in when this update hits? Sharpen your axe in the comments section below.

At this point I'm only coming back for new story content. The River Raids,events etc don't really do anything for me.
when is this game ever going to go on sale for under 50?
@huyi March 2022.
Still playing? I've only just started. Really enjoying it now i've reached England. The world events are a lot of fun
@Matroska or even later LOL
As someone who finished this in a week and moved on, are there really people still playing this after a whole year?
Surely the effort in updating the game this much could just be put into a new one?
Just started Wrath of the Druids and Siege of Paris. So far enjoying the extra story arcs and locations
They really going all out with the content
Kind of fun I have the Carolingian Armor on and talking to Charles the Fat
@SM1FFY01 ahh yeah, good point. I do underappreciate how much time I have to play.
Thank God Ubisoft has the account save system! It actually saved my 60 hour progress of the game 😱
@SM1FFY01 exactly! i don't have the free time to spend 200plus hours on a game that is still costing £100 from launch date! especially with my backlog too (curses LOL)
Reached the 200 hour mark now and don't plan on stopping, i quite like how Ubi have done live service side with the free updates and paid content
@ankehuber well the new one's a multiplayer game right? And as such probably gaas as well, meaning most of the development time of the game is scheduled to be post release to answer your question.
@Cherip-the-Ripper I think I'm too old-school, just play and move on, or it could be my terrible attention span.
I still play this game. In fact I'm now 595 hrs in and still enjoying it. This is the first assassin's creed game I have played and am also a great fan of Norse mythology etc, so am loving it. I'm at power lvl 929 and have no intention of giving up just yet. I enjoy travelling around the maps taking out camps, towns etc with all the different weapons. One day a scythe, another axes, another just using bows etc. Love it!
@huyi
You can pick up the base game for around £30-35 physically (which then adds the benefit of being able to sell it on for close to that again).
Valhalla is on my pandemic travel-from-home “buy” list, lol.
Sigh.
@huyi The deluxe edition is on sale at the moment on PS Store.
@ankehuber Same here as a old man i rather try lots of different things anyway.
Did someone say NG+? Oh, no… well ok then
@Lightning_FF13 wow, I wouldn't last long at all on 4 hours kip!
@Agramonte
Is that the Amazon/Twitch armor? I can't recall how I got it. I didn't know it was related to Charles the Fat, but my history knowledge is pretty bad these days.
So, new in game gear, or new Helix store gear? 🙄
@huyi Black Friday/Christmas sales hopefully...thankfully that's only 2-3 months away.
@Wolf-krueger I'm pretty sure the max level is 99 so...
@Therabidraccoon sorry I meant my wolf part of the tree and bear and raven were 205, 205, and 52 on top of the 466. I'm kinda new to that game so I thought that meant power level. Apologies for my mistake, o wise one
