World War Z: Aftermath, the expanded re-release of Saber Interactive’s co-op tie-in, will chomp at PlayStation 4 from 21st September. As previously announced, the new version will include new maps, including the Vatican City and Russia’s snowbound Kamchatka peninsula. It’ll also run in 4K at 60 frames-per-second on PS5 through backwards compatibility, with a free PS4 to PS5 upgrade planned for next year.
In addition to the aforementioned locations, Aftermath will feature new characters, a new melee system, new zombies, and a first-person mode. And, when the next-gen version launches next year, you’ll unlock access to a new Horde XL mode, which will fill the screen with even more undead than ever before. If you already own the game, then you can upgrade for just $19.99. Alternatively, it’ll set you back $39.99 if you’re coming in fresh.

I can see myself buying the upgrade.
I'll take the upgrade price! This is a really fun game that I recommend!
I'll take that Upgrade. Now i just need people to play it with.
@AnotherForge Looks like there is four of us already here.
I'll buy the PS5 version when it drops in price. Still waiting for the Switch version to release, hopefully with gyro controls added 🤞.
@OmegaStriver Feel free to add me on PSN > AnotherForge
@AnotherForge The request has been made.
Skip. After they abandoned the first iteration and didnt bother to support it further (still missing scenarios) and 1 horde map........not even a 60fps patch for ps5. Not a chance.
