Skater XL arrived on PlayStation 4 just over a year ago, and it's a fairly decent skating sim, but this latest update may broaden the appeal. Up until now it's been a solo affair, but with today's free update, the game now has a multiplayer Free Skate mode.
As you can see in the above video, you'll now be able to meet up with your buddies in-game and skate together. Up to 10 players can group up in one session, and as well as playing with friends, you'll be able to join random public lobbies too.
Again, the update is live now, so update your game and you'll be able to skate up a storm online. Will you be trying out Skater XL's new multiplayer mode? Grind into the comments section below.

Its currently on sale for £12 on the Turkish store, might jump in for this
I only really played the beta on PC but yeah, this is pretty cool. At least there’s mods on PS4 now.
Really great game! I've put in hundreds of hours between my PC and Xbox. Great learning curve too. Some broken collision detection and wonky physics at times but if you love skateboarding you'd love this.
Skating is so much fun when you aren't actually doing it
Game still plays like A**
