Less than half of the games in the top 10 can be played on a PlayStation system. It's true that Nintendo has dominated the UK's physical games chart for months now, and the latest results are no different. Fortunately, Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart is hanging in there, dipping from third to sixth among all the Switch exclusives.
Elsewhere, FIFA 21 is holding strong in second place, and continues to sell predominantly on PS4 and PS5. Grand Theft Auto V comes in just under Ratchet in seventh, and Resident Evil Village is back on the rise; it moves from 15th into ninth. Just missing out on the top 10 is Marvel's Spider-Man: Miles Morales, also up a few places to 11th.
There aren't too many major boxed releases in July, but we expect F1 2021 will qualify high up the grid when it releases next week. Here's the latest top 10 in full.
UK Sales Charts: Week Ending 3rd July, 2021
- Mario Golf: Super Rush
- FIFA 21
- Mario Kart 8 Deluxe
- Animal Crossing: New Horizons
- Minecraft (Switch)
- Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart
- Grand Theft Auto V
- Super Mario 3D World + Bowser's Fury
- Resident Evil Village
- The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild

This game is honestly blowing my mind. The new 40fps fidelity version on 120hz displays is absolutely stunning. Insomniac are wizards. Having such fun and don’t want to it end!
GTA5 in the charts!! What a shocker 😂
Shouldn’t we instead be nitpicking the cost of this game instead of celebrating how great it is? Sorry, couldn’t help myself. 😅
None of the Nintendo games tickle my fancy. But R&C rocks.
Three wii u titles in the top ten noice!!
@Luigia because it is selling at a bargain price (£15)
Congrats to insomniac, the game is amazing 😃
Also the fact that zelda botw still sell at $60 4 years after release is amazing too.
I bought R&C last week, not sure when I'll play it though.
Having great fun with R&C, playing on 60 fps RT mode. One trophy away from the Plat, the one where you return fire with the void shield hasn't popped for some reason.
@Lyonjak Make sure you're doing it from range. If you kill them with the blast from the shield instead of the projectiles it won't count.
I was trying for an hour to get that to pop before I realised where I was going wrong.

I don't think it will crash and burn because there isn't a big PS5 exclusive out now until September with Deathloop, so it's got free reign until then, plus it's included in pretty much every PS5 console bundle I've seen recently in the UK at least, so that will help keep it in the charts.
But yeah, tons of copies at my local CEX branch when I visited over the weekend, but that's to be expected for a single player game. They are selling it for £60 preowned and offering £40 in store credit for a trade in.
Nintendo owning the charts yet as for me theres nothing of theirs I’d want to play.
The fact I played zelda botw, mk8 and super mario 3d years ago on the wii u is laughable.
I bought R&C last week from Base for around £58. They're always offering deals on new games, purchased Mass Effect LE for around £12 less than the RRP.

Thanks, reading these I'm probably too close when firing the return shots. Will have another go later. Looking at the rarity its second after the Plat so seems like a lot of players having the same issue.
With the comments about Tsushima Directors Cut good to see that Nintendo can sell old Wii U games on Switch for full price and they stay in the charts for months. I'd expect them to be joined by the Wii Zelda game in a couple of weeks as well. Should say for disclosure I'm buying Skyward Sword so am part of the problem.
I can't believe Mario Golf is number one tbh, that game is just a heap of you know what. Ratchet and Clank however is the nicest looking game I have ever played. Once again Insomniac did not disappoint.
@RubyCarbuncle Easiest thing in the world to work for Nintendo.
Stuck on an idea for a new game? Just put Mario in the title and game, job done, meeting over.
😉
@The_New_Butler
I don't think the price will drop much lower than £50 on preowned copies any time soon. The game reviewed well and is a graphical showcase for the console.
The only PS5 exclusive to plummet in price has been Godfall at £17 preowned. All the others are still around £45-60, even launch titles like Demon's Souls.
The important thing is…. GTA is still on here.
Man, it sucks going this long without a new Mario Kart that's not a crappy AR toy or mobile game, but seeing how well MK8D is selling, I'm not surprised.
Ditto with GTA.
With Microsoft nearly doing away with the need to buy a game and PlayStation slowly rolling out games, this is what the charts are going to look like for a long time.
With the occasional GTA5 floating and the next COD/FIFA jumping in.
I own 5.5 of the games on that list and got them years ago.
Lombax > plumber.
I got R&C but I’m not sure when or if I’ll play it. I’m playing through the mass effect trilogy at the moment.
