Jose Mourinho, a serial winner on the European football stage, is not the biggest fan of Fortnite. As part of an introductory video on his new club AS Roma’s official Twitter account, the outspoken ex-Real Madrid and Chelsea coach described the Battle Royale as a “nightmare”. He added: “Football players stay up all night playing that sh*t, and the next day they have a game.”
Perhaps that explains his somewhat torrid tenure at Tottenham Hotspur, which resulted in him being removed from his position a week prior to the League Cup final. Who do you reckon is the best Fortnite player at Spurs? We don’t know about you, but Eric Dier strikes us as something of a joypad junkie!

Fortnite and Warzone are big amongst a lot of the younger Premier League players.
Countless videos of Dele Alli, Lingard and Sancho playing Warzone and streaming 😂
If you’re going to stay up all night playing video games before a match, at least play something good!

A friend of mine approaching 40 has played nothing else but fortnite for the past few years. We even gave him a copy of red dead to show him the kind of stuff his ps4 was capable of. But to no avail. He loves it too much haha.
@Starkei Those type of friends can be...ugh. I remember my FIFA addicted friends, I tried to get them to enjoy other games but they weren't having it, their faces looked like I'm putting them through torture.
@TheArt There's two types of gamers, those that only play cod/Fortnite/Fifa/insert whatever popular multiplayer game and those like us with refined taste 😹 jk to each their own. Casuals make up most of the market.

The guy is, and has always been, a complete p*ick, not to mention hugely overrated. But Fortnite is indeed garbage. I remember staying up as a kid binging FF7 all night. That’s how it’s done.

he's never played a PS exclusive . (maybe spiderman)
seems to be the same with lots of teenagers these days.
The number of people that buy a console just for COD,Madden and Fortnite is surprisingly high.
I'd still take playing Fortnite over watching his style of football.
I remember one college football coach chastising his team after a loss because the latest COD had released the night before the game and his players stayed up all night to play it. My son’s baseball team would stay up for Fortnite when it first released.
Can’t call it generational though because when I was a kid I was the starting Shooting Guard on my high school team and I intentionally got suspended just to stay home and play Ocarina Of Time. It was either NBA or Hyrule and I chose Hyrule. 🤷🏾♂️

@SamMr @Splat Yep. Everybody misses that detail when talking about console sales vs game sales. PS is the default console anyone that needs "a box to play Fortnite on" will buy, but they may not buy many other, if any other, games at all. The hardware sales are always great as a result, but I wonder how many players constitute a long-term loss on subsidized hardware? For FIFA players it translates into PS+ sub revenue. For Fortnite...not so much ( though kids do love those lootboxes...)
