Announced earlier this year as a project on Kickstarter, Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes now has a vague 2023 release window. At least it seems like they're being honest!
The Japanese RPG, which is headed by ex-Suikoden developers, is set to launch on PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4. You can catch a better glimpse of the game in the trailer that we've embedded above.
There's also a newly announced companion title to consider in the form of Eiyuden Chronicle: Rising. This side-scrolling action RPG is apparently coming next year.

I’m glad they’re honest. It also shows that they’re using the Kickstarter money to actually fund development, rather than recoup costs. Yes, I’m excited for the game but I’m happy to wait considering I’ve waited so long already since the last Suikoden.
Looks cool to be honest. I know how much people were looking forward to this game. I'll definitely check this game out.
Reminds me very heavily of Octopath Traveler
I really liked the angles it was using during combat even if it looks a little weird played out. I'm really hoping this turns out great
Art style looks amazing...
I am so hyped for this! I loved Suikoden. I backed this game and I am happy to wait cause it's going to be so good!
This is also on gamepass day one yet another win for Microsoft.
Gamepass is insane value with all the game announcements I can't see how they make money from it.
Cant wait to buy it for my PS5. 😄
I know it's a ways off but I check news on this game monthly. Please end up good!!
@Xenomorph_79 They make a tankload of money from it. They have 23 million monthly subscribers. That means 230 million dollars in revenue atleast (and that's not even calculating in the Ultimate model). Sony beating Xbox was the best thing that ever happened to gaming, because it made Xbox the must have console. I am an owner of PS5 and the XSX, and I enjoy both. But the XSX is the console to own this gen.
@Snoober So none of those 23 million subs are on the dollar deal? None got a few free months for buying this or that? It's a shell game like Netflix x subs sounds great but how many are true subs? Personally I believe Microsoft is tired losing money on consoles. So they want to prop up the service and the console goes bye bye next gen IF it works. I've owned all consoles so far up till now. Value for me isn't paying for plus and gamepass I'm a dad who also pays for streaming services. So one gaming "service" is enough for this guy.
Shame about the delay, but happily surprised they are releasing a 2nd game in the old release window!
