The Shadow Warrior series certainly walks its own path, and we definitely appreciate it. Shadow Warrior 3 sees protagonist Lo Wang and his sidekick Orochi Zilla going on another world-saving adventure, this time trying to recapture a dragon they inadvertently freed from its prison. As you can see in this gameplay trailer, the way they'll handle the situation is by slaughtering demonic baddies with bullets and blades, and it looks brilliantly mad.
We've made the comparison before, but this definitely takes some inspiration from the more recent DOOM games — the break-neck pace, the viscera, and the constant movement are all there. It has some Bulletstorm vibes as well; you can boot enemies into traps with well-placed kicks. It's all looking rather promising, and we're looking forward to going on this wild journey when it hits PlayStation 4 this year.

I like how they're not trying to hide the Doom influence
Playing Doom literally right now, mission 6... Just fell through the floor so decided to check the news. This actually looks like it could be better than Doom tbh, had it only been actual levels and not just arenas.
Looks like absolute madness.
But the kind that I love.
It walks it's own path? How can you say that when it's clearly heavily influenced by Doom. I didn't see much originality in this trailer.
I remember the first game having ridiculous difficulty spikes near the end of the game that it nearly killed it for me, the second one wasn't as bad but the difficulty spikes were still annoying though. This game looks to be more of the same, not that it's a bad thing.
Still playing shadow warrior 2.cant wait for part 3.shadow warrior 2 is amazing.word up son
