After a rather necessary name change, it's been announced that Rainbow Six Extraction is just two months away from releasing. It's hitting PlayStation 5 and PS4 on 16th September 2021, bringing with it a selection of the Operators from Rainbow Six: Siege and putting them in a co-op experience for up to three players. You won't be facing other humans, though — an alien parasite has taken over US cities, giving rise to all sorts of monsters. Check out the first look at gameplay in the video embedded above.
It's an extended look that shares the sort of abilities you can employ to fend off the aliens, as well as well-known skills attached to the pre-existing Operators. Gameplay looks fairly in-depth and interesting, with rogue-lite elements that restrict you from playing as any character you like. What do you think? Share your thoughts in the comments below.

Squad based? Pass. Single player offline campaigns only for me thanks
A necessary name change? How on earth was it necessary?
I don’t know anyone who’s gonna lose their mind I’ve really game being called quarantine. I really hope no one would.
That aside, it looks decent. Might be fun to play with friends.
Oh my, it has the same horrendous gunplay as Siege, that doesn’t help. Pew pew
Kind of reminds me of the Resident Evil spin-off Umbrella Corps (and that's not really a good thing).
Looks kinda cheap IMO.
Could be fun with some friends.
Probably not a insta buy but with a sale that could help.
This at least looks better than the alpha. That played and looked like utter garbage.
One of the most generic-looking games i've seen in a long time.
@Floki That’s avoiding a dumb legal issue. I disagree, but I can see why they didn’t think it was worth it. This is different. In fact, suggesting people needed a name change is insulting it’s so sensitivity focused.
