Creed: Rise to Glory, the popular PSVR boxing game from Survios, is getting a pancake screen sequel. Due out later this year on the PlayStation 4, Big Rumble Boxing: Creed Champions promises an “arcade boxing experience set in the most renowned boxing film franchise of all time”. The press release explains: “Rise through the ranks in an intense arcade mode, hone your skills in classic Rocky training montages, and go head-to-head with friends in thrilling local competitive multiplayer.”
While this won’t support PSVR like its predecessor, developer Survios seems pretty stoked at the opportunity to continue working on the Rocky franchise. And it’s no surprise: the films have generated “$1.3 billion in worldwide box-office sales, earning three Academy Awards, and ten nominations”. This year also marks the 45th anniversary of the original film’s release, so we’re sure the game will play into those celebrations in some way.

Perhaps it's beside the point, but it's a tad misleading for them to say that the franchise has earned three Academy Awards, and ten nominations considering all of those Oscar noms and wins were for the first movie.
@hobbes242 wait, Rocky IV didn't win best picture? Are you sure?
Loved the PS2 Rocky games, so will keep my eyes on this.
@Bingbongboyo Hey, I'm just as shocked as you are. But Wikipedia does not lie, my friend.
