NEO: The World Ends With You brings Square Enix's cult hit RPG series to PlayStation 4, and it's looking pretty good. For fans who can't wait to get their hands on this new entry, you're in luck: the publisher has just announced it'll be releasing a free playable demo, and it'll launch very soon indeed.
It hits PS Store tomorrow, in fact. On 25th June at 10AM PDT / 1PM EDT / 6PM BST / 7PM CEST, the demo will go live on the digital store, letting you get a taste for what the game has to offer. There's no word on how much content the demo will contain, but Square Enix has confirmed that any progress you make will carry over to the full game. Presumably, then, you'll get to try out its opening moments.
Alongside the demo announcement comes a five-minute trailer, containing gameplay of all kinds. Above, you can watch some stylish combat, see the characters conversing, and explore Shibuya in all its graphic novel-style glory.
The game itself arrives on 27th July, so you have a full month to get acquainted with the trial version. Will you be playing the demo for NEO: The World Ends With You? Tell us in the comments section below.

I'll give it a shot but I hope there's an option for JP voice acting cause that english voice acting is just not good....
Back in the day the DS game was one of my favourites. It felt really unique - in the story, the artstyle and the addictive dual screen combat that fit hand in hand with the narrative. (None of the remakes were quite as good without this feature.)
I hope this is a decent continuation of that legacy and not just a lazy cash grab, living off the IP.
Sweeet. Got mine preordered. I'd normally not play the demo to avoid spoilers, but as progress carries forward, i'll definitely give it a go
I need to break out my Switch copy of the original and complete it.
Great, I'll try it for sure 😃
i'm really offended that the game asking price of £50 for a decade old DS game is shocking! no way would i pay that!
and i thought nintendo was bad with pricing, jesus smdh
I played the demo for a short awhile, combat took me awhile to grasp, but loving the story!
