Dragon Quest Event

In case you don't already know, there's a 35th anniversary event for Dragon Quest this week — and it's going to be streamed in English as well as Japanese. Square Enix is making a big deal out of it, having already promised important news with regards to the classic RPG series.

And now, Dragon Quest creator Yuji Horii is bringing the hype. On Twitter, Horii wrote: "In gratitude for all your support so far, we’ll have plenty to announce. And of course, we’ll have more on that game as well… Please look forward to it, everyone!" (Thanks Siliconera for the translation.)

The expectations are really starting to add up, especially with Horii specifically mentioning "that game". We assume that a reveal of Dragon Quest XII is all but guaranteed at this point.

The event itself will take place at an awkward time here in Europe — but we'll be staying up in order to bring you coverage here on Push Square. You can find quick time zone reminders below.

  • US: Wednesday 26th May, 8:30PM PT / 11:30PM ET
  • Europe: Thursday 27th May, 4:30AM BST / 5:30AM CEST

Will you be tuning in for some Dragon Quest goodness? Hope that the event lives up to the hype in the comments section below.
