The first expansion for Assassin's Creed Valhalla is out on the 13th May, and Ubisoft is here to show it off in trailer form. Wrath of the Druids sees Eivor travel to Ireland, where he or she does battle with a dangerous druidic cult, hoping to win favour with the isle's kings.
As we've come to expect of the French publisher, the mostly cinematic trailer is some high quality stuff — but eagle-eyed fans will spot a number of nods towards new content. We're looking at new equipment — including sickles as a new weapon type — new abilities, and yes, even new horses.

how much is it going to be?
yey I was first :--)
@angrygamer It's part of the season pass, which is £33.99 (it includes this and the next expansion). Separately, I think it's priced around £20.
@ShogunRok I was just wondering if its worth getting the season pass or buying it separate?
I'll probably get the pass tho
The delay has made it difficult to play on launch - I’m in biome 5 of Returnal, the new Destiny season drops today and Mass Effect is Friday... and that’s before I look at my actual backlog!
But I’m definitely looking forward to diving in, the setting and accompanying lore really appeal to me.
I'm looking forward to this i got the Platinum trophy in January for Valhalla can't wait to explore Ireland.
@angrygamer Assuming both expansions are good, then the pass will be the way to go (but there's obviously no way of knowing until they're both out).
If it makes any difference, we'll have a review of this DLC very soon!
@angrygamer If the content is up to the standard of Origins and Odyssey passes then i say get the pass, now granted Odyssey's thrown in AC3 Remastered on top of the meaty expansions but even with that aside i still think Odyssey's is one of my favourite passes.
@WallyWest The First Blade stuff was atrocious. The other stuff and AC3 made up for it, but it was like they handed off the writing to a particularly untalented monkey. Hope Valhalla doesnt have that slump and can maintain what is already a pretty low bar of quality.
Nice. Hopefully as good as the Odyssey DLCs. That was worth every penny.
Ubi has been on a roll with AC latelly.
Please please please please don’t be a buggy mess
A shame you don't get to fight any Leprechauns.
Here’s hoping it doesn’t launch full of bugs. Valhalla was a chore to play through because of this.
Ehh i put this down at about 140 hours once a mission glitched and i had to go back about 6 hours to fix it. I’ll see if the wife wants it and maybe ill give it another shot but pretty unlikely since the trailer wasnt too exciting
I have the season pass so will download it right away. That said it's going to sit for awhile. Mass Effect is about to takeover my gaming life. 😎
@Marquez I'm working on clearing my PS4 and Steam backlog until the 'days of play' sale, when I check my wishlist. RE8 and ME Trilogy are pretty hard to resist, though...
Is Valhalla worth it even though you haven’t really played any AC games before? I picked it up on sale for PS5 while ago but figured I’d try some of the older titles first.
Got AC Unity for next to nothing on Xbox the other day and I quite like it. I know it’s not the best of the bunch but I think it holds up very well for being 7 years old. How different is it from the more recent titles?
@Relygon I've never played any AC but enjoyed Valhalla, I would say the story is a bit weak towards the end but i enjoyed so much i've bought my first ever seasons pass!!
@angrygamer Sounds promising, thanks! I reckon most of the launch bugs should be ironed out by now, too.
