Taiwanese-developed action RPG Xuan Yuan Sword 7 was announced for the series' first ever Western release last month, and now it's got a brand new gameplay trailer. Set to launch for PlayStation 4 this summer, it's looking like a pretty good time, complete with interesting enemy designs and some seemingly in-depth systems.
The press release is also quick to point out that Xuan Yuan Sword 7 has a standalone story. In other words, you don't need prior knowledge of past games in order to understand what's going on here.

I know nothing about this series at all, but it looks neat. A bit janky at points, but could be a fun diversion.
Ooooh, this has my interest!
Looks almost like black wukon.but this is cool.word up son
This looks rad. I read an article (posted below) that got me really interested in Chinese RPGs, but I have yet to take the plunge. Hope to see this and more coming to consoles with proper English support.

I just want everyone to know that Shangmo are a bunch of posers
Wow, looks pretty cool.
I've been watching this one since I first learned about it earlier this year. I don't think I'd spend $60 on it, but very broadly, it looks like a solid AA title the same way that Greedfall was. More of a high end PS3 game than an end-of-cycle PS4 game, but that's ok if there's enough meat on the bone and its not too short.
@Wazeddie22 I think it's like shu-on yu-on.
Yuan to pre-order our game?
@Constable_What Thanks!Always helps to know how to pronounce the games I play.
@Wazeddie22 You're welcome. At the very least, if I'm wrong someone is sure to correct me. lol
I'm working on translating the sword and fairy games at the moment to give something to do between semesters. After that I want to do the earlier xuanyuan sword games. They're really interesting, kind of like a mix of Megami Tensei and Phantasy Star with obvious Chinese mythology thrown in.
