Team 17’s massive World War 2 multiplayer shooter Hell Let Loose will expand its audience to the PlayStation 5, according to the UK publisher’s financial report. While it’s a throwaway comment, the firm confirms that the FPS – already available on PC – will arrive on “next-generation consoles this year”.

For those of you who don’t know, this is billed as a “realistic” outing, which “places heavy emphasis on teamwork and communication as players work together as specialised roles in Platoons beneath the leadership of Officers and the force Commander”. That kind of description almost rekindles fond memories of MAG to us.

You’ll be competing in 100 player battles, as you work to capture territory and resources from your opponents. Obviously a game like this will benefit massively from crossplay, and it’s mentioned in the financial report that Team 17 aims to incorporate that feature. Additional details are scarce at this stage as it’s just a footnote in an accounting press release, but it’s good to know this is coming to consoles.
