On PlayStation, there are usually a few big Japanese games to look forward to. On the horizon for PS5, we have Resident Evil Village and Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade — to name just two — and they're only a couple of months away. It seems Sony is looking to share more on these titles; PlayStation Japan has just announced a livestream, featuring them both.
Entitled 'Play! Play! Play!', the broadcast is scheduled for 21st March, starting at 4am PST / 6am EST / 12pm GMT. It appears that the two aforementioned games will be the only ones covered, with the livestream taking the format of a "talk show" according to Gematsu. Key figures from Capcom and Square Enix will be present to discuss Village and Intergrade respectively.
We don't expect this will uncover any major reveals or announcements, but fans of either franchise may want to tune in regardless. You'll be able to watch along via YouTube through the link. Will you be watching this one? Tell us in the comments section below.

I still think “Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade” is such an awkward name for a game but I guess “Final Fantasy VII Remake Remastered” is even worse. Almost as strange as “Play! Play! Play!” as the title for a livestream 😅
Anyway, looking forward to news from the broadcast, all the same.
RIP Japan Studio.
@Th3solution Final Fantasy VII Remakestergrade
@THEONE19 While is sad that is gone but let's be honest is a long time coming even before Jimmy took over sie.
@Th3solution To be fair, "Intergrade" is only used for the version with the Yuffie DLC since the "remaster" of the original game on PS5 is a free update.
But I agree, these Japanese games can have very stupid and awkward titles!
Obviously should have been called Ramake Reunion.
Guess I’ll have to watch! watch! watch! this 👍
I'd be much happier if the livestream was called 'Gameplay!, Gameplay!, Gameplay!'
Ugh, stupid PS5 port. Sure, we could be hearing about FF7R Part 2, or FF16, but no, please tell us more about the game that came out a year ago you are porting to a newerish console. 😝
A Sony event targetting the Japanese market has to be seen as a good idea right now. Lets hope we see a lot more communication from Sony over the next few months. They definitely need something to regain the mind share, as naturally all everyone is talking about right now is Microsoft/Bethesda
just ran through the RE8 demo yesterday lol... damn.... it's good. can't wait for the release!
@THEONE19 Yeah I'm still really pissed that it's gone. So much for that rumor of Silent Hill being developed by Japan Studio cause they would've done it justice....
Hoping the resident evil 8 demo for us PS4 pesents drops soon
@Olmaz It's the name of the PS5 version, Yuffie DLC or not. They've added other stuff in the PS5 version, not just improved the graphics and that's "Intergrade" even if you don't also buy the DLC.

But yeah, it's a silly name.
I'm confused. On SquareEnix website (https://ffvii-remake-intergrade.square-enix-games.com/en-us/), it says :
"FINAL FANTASY VII REMAKE INTERGRADE is an enhanced and expanded version of the critically acclaimed and award-winning FINAL FANTASY VII REMAKE for the PlayStation 5. FINAL FANTASY VII REMAKE INTERGRADE comes bundled with the brand new episode featuring Yuffie as the main character, which introduces an exhilarating new story arc and numerous gameplay additions for players to enjoy."
And also :
"f you already own FINAL FANTASY VII REMAKE for the PlayStation 4 (physical or digital version) and own a PlayStation 5, you can download the free FINAL FANTASY VII REMAKE PlayStation 5 enhancement update*. This update does not include the new Yuffie episode."
I understand this language as if there are 2 versions for PS5 :
But you may also be right and any PS5 version could be called "Intergrade", DLC or not, and they're not being efficient in their communication (and well, it's expected when they're the one who came up with this silly name!)
Shame they didn’t turn this more into a Japanese state of play, could of included titles like Scarlet Nexus, GT7 and maybe another look at FFXVI
@Vivisapprentice
I think Xbox has the marketing rights for Scarlet Nexus, so they wouldn't be able to show that. It's a bit like how Sony has the marketing rights for RE: Village.
GT7 is delayed until 2022. And I think they'll be saving FF16 for whatever E3 type event Sony have planned.
This just seems to be a small event to show Sony is still interested in the Japanese market after all the negative press with the Japan Studios exodus.
I guess we'll be getting more FF7 Remake news at this Sony Japan event, instead of at the upcoming Square Enix digital direct.
Hyped either way, please do bring on the Intergrade and RE8 news!
