You won't have to pay a penny to play Oddworld: Soulstorm on PlayStation 5 next month if you're a PS Plus subscriber, but we know there's some amongst you still committed to a completely physical collection. Good news for that slowly dying community then because the latest title from developer Microids will receive a physical release — you'll just have to wait a couple more months to play it. Oddworld: Soulstorm will be made available physically on 6th July 2021 across the globe for both PS5 and PS4.
Available in two different versions, the Day One Oddition comes packaged with an embossed metal case. Then there's the Collector's Edition, which adds to the overall package with a 9" figurine of Abe, premium artbook, art prints, tickets and hand tattoo, a keychain, and a unique box to put it all inside. If you pre-order either version, you'll also gain access to the original soundtrack and digital artbook. Both editions are pictured below.

Never played any of this series apart from 5 minutes of a demo on ps1 but really looking forward to giving Soulstorm a bash on plus.
Phew saw release July and thought it had been delayed. This will tide me over until returnal is released. Looking forward to both of them 🙂

OMG major Geekgasm! The Collector's Oddition is the one for me. The figurine of Abe is a thing of beauty, though @ €150 is rather expensive, still I have to have it. Annoyingly there's no pre-orders up yet with Microids saying on their Twitter "very soon"
Totally don't get the whole complaining about Soulstorm being in every State of Play. Sure, it was in most of them but briefly, there was never a full-dive in with a lot of gameplay. I for one was waiting like a little kid to see anything new happening. I've noticed that sadly Oddworld is barely given enough attention at Pushquare and often omitted/ignored. Don't get it at all.
Such a great series and game looks amazing, especially compared to NNT. I only wish they did the whole pre-ordering process for those editions in a better way since links to actual products are never pasted anywhere and signed edition was already sold out...

@skywalker0794 to be fair, you also had people complaining that March's PS Plus games were all rubbish (not even people who already owned the games, just people who thought all the games were rubbish). You can never please everyone, and some people just can't be pleased

Physical edition is tempting, but will sadly be sticking with the "free" copy I get thru PS+.
Which reminds me, I need to get off my bum and start New N' Tasty, only got 9 days left until Soulstorm drops.
