Just a little reminder, really: Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1 + 2 is now available on PlayStation 5.
This enhanced port of the game of course makes full use of the more powerful hardware to beef up the already-impressive PS4 title. If you're playing on PS5, you can enjoy reduced loading times, slick performance at 4K resolution, 3D audio, and the fancy haptic features of the DualSense controller. What's more, it supports cross-save, meaning you can import your old PS4 save from the cloud and continue grinding your way to victory.
It's free to upgrade from PS4 to PS5 if you own the Digital Deluxe edition. If you have the regular version of the game, you can upgrade to the PS5 version for $10, which also nets you the Digital Deluxe goodies.
We'll follow up soon with some impressions of the PS5 version, but for now, you can read our thoughts on the original release through the link. If you've picked the game up on either PS5 or PS4 and you're looking for some tips or guidance, we have an extensive Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1 + 2 guide ready to roll.

I'm sorely tempted, but im annoyed with the usual uplift we have to pay in Europe. 10 dollars is not 10 pounds. The upgrade should be £7.99 (albeit it would be nice if it had been free).
Might wait for your impressions piece. The load times that i've seen are drastically different - up to 10 seconds less loading into a level which is definitely good news
Is this a free upgrade for ps4 users?
Been waiting for the PS5 version. Guess I'll wait a bit more for the price drop.
@Mega-Gazz Only if you own the digital deluxe edition. All of the standard editions (including the physical edition) have an upgrade fee attached- 10 pounds/ 10 dollars
Downloaded my free upgrade today. Definitely loading quicker but can't say I've noticed much else different. And my save hasn't transferred over!!
@tomassi you have to load up the ps4 version, go to the options menu and there is an option at the bottom to upload your ps4 save. Then on the PS5 version you go in and download that save data from activisions servers.
I dont think you can just download a cloud save directly to the PS5 version.
The activision site has an faq detailing the process. Click on the 'how do i upgrade from ps4 to ps5 option'
@tomassi how is the haptic feedback and the adaptive triggers
The upgrade doesn’t really seem worth it. I think I’ll be content playing the PS4 version on my PS5.
@Rob_230 haptics and adaptive trigger are a nice touch but pretty basic so far
1. Rumble feels unique for manuals, grinding, ollies, breaking through objects, bailing, etc.
2. R2 bumper offers resistance when pressing it and clicks into place when enough force is used similar to Miles Morales swinging
3. More sounds also come out of the controllers speaker
I can confirm that once you upload/download your PS4 save to the PS5 version all the trophies you've earned will pop automatically on a separate fresh PS5 trophy list.
@Rob_230 To be fair, when we see US prices, that doesn't include tax. Our prices always do. As you said, it should be £8 here but then adds on another 20% due to VAT and you get £9.60. So yeah, there's that unexplained 40p added on (b*stards...) but most of the extra cost is due to our high sales tax and that US prices don't include sales tax as it differs by state.
