EA Sports must be feeling generous this week, because it’s giving away free FIFA 21 Ultimate Team packs to anyone who’s logged into the game since its launch last year. Your reward will depend on your engagement, with goodies ranging from a Jumbo Premium Gold Pack all the way up to an Ultimate Pack; you’ll need to have played on at least 138 different days for the latter.
It’s all part of the FUT Player Days promotion, which has already seen prices reduced on several pack types, and will likely result in various Squad Building Challenges and a number of other offers throughout the course of its duration. Since I only started playing in January, I got the Jumbo Premium Gold Pack. Nothing to write home about, got Bergwijn who could fit into a PL team but the rest is a bunch of fodder. At least I got Valencia’s crowd chant..?
Decided to just buy a Mega Pack with spare coins on sale like a moron. At least I got a slightly better keeper although I’ve gotten so attached to Strakosha that I might just change back if Sirigu doesn’t bring his A game in the next few matches.

If they were just always free, and you could keep opening them ad infinitum, would it still be fun?
Would you not get a bit sick of it after an hour or so, especially when you realise that the Messi's and Ronaldo's are not coming.
So why pay for that boredom instead?
Because EA know that if you pay, you are now gambling and so are emotionally invested.
Don't do it people, it's not fun and will only take your money that you can use to buy actual fun games with.
The most egregious, disgusting mode in all of gaming and you give it an article for UT packs. Shameful PushSquare. This should be beneath you. Actually encouraging it....wow. I thought you had more respect for the community.

You support a team, you play as that team. End of story.
I've bought several (but not all) versions of FIFA over the years since this thing started, and I've never so much as highlighted the menu option unless I had to pass over it to get to something else.
Never, ever been even remotely interested in it, and I sincerely doubt I ever will.
The worst is you get FIFA ULTIMATE TEAM appearing very commonly on the pitchside banner boards when you play any other game mode in FIFA, that’s so low I can’t even fathom it
