Don't you just love it when a decent looking first-person shooter is announced out of nowhere? Coming to both PS5 and PS4 on the 1st June 2021, Necromunda: Hired Gun looks like a junk-coated DOOM copycat โ and we're not complaining.
Described as an "action-packed indie FPS", its reveal trailer leaves a solid impression. It's grimy and bloody, and we're hoping that it knows how to have a good time. Could well be one to watch this summer, especially on Sony's newest system.

Oooh, this was such a fun table-top game, back in the day! Glad it's getting some attention, this looks awesome! Hopefully it retains the deep character customization of the table-top game, that was the most fun part! I'm in.
NINJA APPROVED
N.i.c.e. i can dig it.word up son
The narrator sounds like Danny O'Dwyer
I was pleasantly surprised by this trailer. Definitely giving me, Doom/Wolfenstein/Bullet Storm vibes. I hope it turns out well.

Wow this looks really good for an indie game.
Never played Necromunda, because it was on the fall when I started collecting Warhammer, but this looks great.
Looks good. Nice aesthetic. But, I'm a bit disappointed I didn't see more of this dog... wonder if it'll comprise an integral part of the gun/gameplay, like a skill you can use. Rpd? (Rocket propelled dog)?
Ok, this looked way better than I expected.
I can not wait
What a fine looking trailer for an Indy FPS. This looked really great, both enemies and level design. Exactly the kind of gameplay I love. And due out June 1? Righteous!
Great trailer, guns look excellent just hope it deliveries as it could be a day one purchase for me! A bit Mad Max/Doom/Space Hulk vibe, what's not to like
I liked that trailer. I don't mean that I pressed a silly little thumbs up button, I mean I genuinely liked it.
So nice, I watched it twice.
I used to have one of the Necromunda game sets, though I just used it as display on a shelf haha More interested in this than the other Necromunda title currently available, too. Hopefully it can be the 5th Warhammer game universe I invest in. Fire Warrior, Dawn of War series, Space Marine and Inquisitor Martyr being the others.
That looks very impressive.
@Jayofmaya When I said Space Hulk I should have added Space Marine, absolutely fantastic board game IMO and Space Crusade ๐
@ApostateMage ๐
Looks fun. As long as the levels or enemies don't get too repetitive, I'll pick it up.
@Mostik Yeah, I also had Space Crusade! I never got to play that one either haha But I set it up a few times back in the day and even learned the rules. Necrons and Tyranids models were great!
Honestly doesn't look anything like DOOM, though luckily it doesn't look too much like the generic COD-like FPS's you usually see around either.
The aesthetics remind me of Rage 2, while the gameplay is certainly way more Wolfy than DOOM.
Think weโre getting to the point that more, higher quality AA games are releasing more frequently. Definitely a good thing if you ask me!
Loved the accent only thing is the guy looks generic but the rest looks awsome. I found the blue haired girl looks way more interesting. The dog i wanna see more.
@Dishonored29 That was the great thing about the PS2 not everything needs that triple A budget. If gives more freedom and less risk so they can create more free.
