We’ve spoken to some of the biggest developers in gaming about what 25 years of Resident Evil means to them, but for PlayStation the survival horror is symbiotic with its brand. An awesome infographic produced by Sony and shared on social media details the key moments from the two-and-a-half-decade relationship, and is well worth scrolling through.
You’ll spy the original tweet above, but you’ll want to click on it and increase its size to see all the details. We’re talking dozens of games across all five PlayStation consoles, PlayStation VR support, and so much more. We’re sure this will bring back many fond memories for you, and remember, the timeless legacy continues this year with Resident Evil: Village.

I've tried to get into this series but am too chicken, lol. The story and gameplay are great, but my nerves can't handle the suspense!
I am looking forward to resi 8. That is a day one for me.
Getting pretty excited for 8 now. And already wondering what they’ll do with 9 😂
Hey look at this. Sony remembered the Vita
The bigger revelation here is that Sony actually remembered the Vita was a console they made
Please Capcom. More ports/remakes. I want to experience all the old titles on a PS5 with non tank controls.
@Stragen8 Dino Crisis RE Engine Remake would definitely be nice to have
@Wavey84 lol with encouragement like that I'll give the base game a 4th attempt
@Keyblade-Dan That would be a dream come true
@huntbearpig The original first 6 weren't really that scary (I don't do scary either and played them all). There were a couple of jump scares that stand out. e.g.
but it really wasn't that bad and tempered with a lot of hamminess.
I heard RE7 changed this and is far more psychological, especially in VR.
@themightyant The chainsaw guy was horrifying as a 10 year old lol. I downloaded the Village demo and didn't even make it out of the opening scene. The dread I built up in my mind was too much to handle!
@huntbearpig understood, it’s the psychological horror that’s worse. Build up of tension is often worse, and often nothing happens
