The time is now for Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War players as Activision reloads its gigantic multiplayer suite with more content for Zombies as well as traditional online bouts. The headline addition is the new Firebase Z map, which represents the first undead location to be added to the game since its November 2020 launch. Meanwhile, multiplayer fans have the return of Call of Duty: Black Ops II map Express to look forward to mastering all over again with their friends. The Express 24/7 playlist will be on hand to get you reacquainted.

Once the Firebase Z map has been loaded up, Zombies fanatics have the new Tombstone Soda Perk to think about crafting. "With just one sip, you’ll become a shadow in the Dark Aether after you go down on the battlefield, giving you a fighting chance to rejoin the land of the living before you bleed out." You'll also be able to craft the Napalm Strike and Artillery Scorestreaks, which can be called in if you end up in a rough spot. And for the most hardcore players, Firebase Z's Easter egg hunt starts tomorrow at 9AM PT / 12PM ET / 5PM GMT.

Elsewhere, a new 40-player Endurance mode gives you a different way to play, the thoroughly enjoyable Prop Hunt expands to more maps, and the famous Nuketown '84 arena is added to Gunfight. There's also a 3v3 Gunfight Snipers Only playlist for those who love quick-scoping. And to celebrate all of this new content, a Double XP Weekend kicks off early for PlayStation fans, with a start time scheduled for today at 10am PT / 6pm GMT. That runs until Monday.
