Sony is dipping its toes into Games as a Service with Destruction AllStars. Initially a full-price release before being pledged for PlayStation Plus, this is a car combat game with a heavy emphasis on multiplayer. As with any game in that vein, developer Lucid Games is looking to support it long-term in the months following launch.
Towards the end of the new State of Play video, Lucid's Colin Berry explains that launch is "just the beginning", and confirms that new modes, characters, and refreshed playlists will be added throughout the rest of the year.

Hopefully the game proves popular and can be sustained for a long time. The promise of extra modes and characters is a good start, now we just need to sample it all for ourselves.

Please do a Twisted Metal crossover at some point. That's all I ask.
@Total_Weirdo That's what I'm hoping for, too.
That subtitle is beautiful.
The protag photo are all annoying. It will be cool if sony make twisted metal gaas game instead, but with 8-10 hours single player story like twisted metal 2.
@wiiware Personally I think it would be better if Sony made no GAAS at all GAAS is a disease. Hell yeah to a new Twisted Metal though
