Here's a little thing we've noticed during the PlayStation 5 review process: we currently can't view Trophy lists from games that were started on the new console from a PlayStation 4 system. When you go to compare Trophies, those new titles appear blank without any information on what the PS5 user has done. We thought this morning's new PS4 firmware update would rectify the issue, but it hasn't done so.
The image above explains the problem. Push Square editor Sammy Barker has played the likes of Marvel's Spider-Man: Miles Morales, Demon's Souls, and Sackboy: A Big Adventure through native PS5 versions. What's more, he also checked out Slide Stars (a PlayStation 4 game via backwards compatibility) and that too doesn't properly show up. As such, it looks like any game you start on PS5 won't have its Trophy lists appear on PS4 consoles for comparison purposes as of right now. In fact, the game icons themselves don't even show up on profiles. We have confirmed that all privacy settings are set to open and also tested the feature across different profiles.

Was this possible form PS3 to PS4? I can't remember. I know my Vita could see everything to date
Yea the theirs alot of issues visually I have with this new trophy system. The main list on PS5 looks like garbage compared to PS4/PS3. The main trophy tiles used to be big and pop up so you could see the detail. PS4 they dropped that featured, but the list still looked clean. Now on PS5 the tiles are different and you can even see the clear outline of the square around your PS4 games. It looks cheap and half ass. On top of that the tiles are so small and compressed you can barely see them. And yes the issue on PS4. I noticed it after launch you couldn't view PS5 games on your PS4. Im really hoping they see these issues and fix them.
@Rob_230 I wish I could remember that far back!
@Rob_230 Yes, you could see PS4 games on PS3 from day one.
PREORDER CANCELLED!!!
@Futureshark lol
@Rob_230 yeah, you could see PS4 trophies from the PS3. However, PS3 had an issue where you couldn’t see friends who were online on PS4 on your friends list. As far as I’m aware, they never fixed that either.
My trophy count is different on both consoles.... those I got on PS5 games aren’t in my total on PS4.
I just remembered you also couldn't see Xbox One trophy lists - er, achievement lists if you were looking from an Xbox 360.
How am I meant to brag that I have a PS5 if people can't see that I have a PS5? I was really look forward to rubbing it in that I have a PS5, but now people won't see that I have a PS5 unless they look at their friends list and see me online playing a PS5 game on the PS5 that I have.
So to sum up, I have a PlayStation 5.
All these little things only reinforce my opinion that Sony wasn't planning/ready to release now, and were probably initially aiming for the first quarter of next year at the earliest.
@Paranoimia Hasn't all releases been the same autumn period previously? Perhaps they wanted to release autumn 2021 instead. First quarter of a new year after xmas feels wrong for some reason.
I have my PS 4 Pro still running and I cannot see any PS5 trophies. On the PS4 Pro and the web site. They should fix this.
@StonyKL For Xbox, yes. PlayStation... not so much.
PS2 released in March 2000 in Japan. PSP released in March 2005 in the US. PS3 released in March 2007 in Europe. Vita released in February 2012 outside of Japan.
@Rob_230 No. I don't think it ever changed, either. You couldn't see ps4 games at all and it would say your friend was offline for months, even if they had been logging on on a ps4.
@Jake3103 I couldn't ever do either
@Ken_Kaniff My system must have been left out of that update lol
@Paranoimia i think your right. It really seems like they half ass tried on the visual part of the trophy system. The main list really looks almost unfinished.
@get2sammyb : I restarted my system now and I no longer run into this issue, however it shows PS4 games only.
May be they will show PS5 games in the near future
Nothing yet... I can't see my PS5 trophies on PS4, PS3 and my.playstation website
