Square Enix will soon release a demo for Dragon Quest XI S on PS4, if new PlayStation Store product data is anything to go by (as spotted by Gematsu on Twitter). The enhanced role-playing title — which is set to launch on Sony's system in December — features a fully orchestrated soundtrack alongside an optional 2D mode and additional character-based story scenarios. Hopefully the demo gives us a good idea of how far these improvements go.
It probably won't be long until we get an official announcement, but until then, let us know if you're looking forward to Dragon Quest XI S in the comments section below.

It’ll be interesting to see the extremely strange graphics situation first hand. I still can’t wrap my head round it.
Will it be a downgrade or an upgrade situation
Delightful game on Switch and was a very generous demo.
If it's the same demo that was on the Switch before launch, that bad boy is 10 hours long. That free DQXI demo was longer and more satisfying than some games I've paid $60 for.
If u own the one already released on ps4 is it worth it to get this? I really like the game but dont really want to buy it again if its not really worth it.
@RBMango exactly how long it took for me to finish the demo. I guess everyone is having the same affect.
That's good to know and I'll definitely try it. I have the original on 4pro, and the switch version. The graphics on switch...... Bother me after seeing the glorious original... But the midi music bothers me after hearing switch. It's a first world problem but it's a dilemma of which to play just the Same. Maybe they'll find the middle ground.
Wait is there no upgrade pathway for those of us who purchased the original PS4 version?🤔
This pisses me off. I already played the original PS version then purchased the Switch version for music and extra content. NOW they're releasing the definitive version on PS4. Such BS.
@CaptainBasch they call it the “definitive” edition, but that won’t exist until they combine the PS4 original graphics with the upgraded content.
Maybe a PC mod will end up doing what Square Enix failed to do.
@SamboNZ No upgrade path, free or paid. You have to rebuy the game at $40.
@KidBoruto Thanks for the info. Wow that's a real dick move on their behalf.
Noted for future Square Enix purchasing decisions.
@Kidfried didn't you use the dq8 music instead?
So now you can get a switch port of a ps4 port to play on your ps4..... My head hurts
@Kidfried completely agree
@SamboNZ Not only that, but you have to settle for Switch port graphics and textures etc.
It'll look not as good as original PS4 version but have more content...
@KidBoruto oh wow 😳
I already have the Switch port (alongside the PS4 original) so I guess there's literally no reason for me to buy this newest edition. Thanks for the info.
@SamboNZ You're welcome! I never bought the original PS4 version or the Switch port, so will be buying this cheaper $40 PS4 Definitive Edition.
