Assassin's Creed Valhalla has gone gold. In other words, the game is good to go ahead of its 10th November launch on PS4, and 12th November release on PS5.
"We're extremely proud to share that Assassin’s Creed Valhalla has gone gold! On behalf of everyone working on the game, we can't wait to see how your own Viking saga unfolds," writes the official Assassin's Creed Twitter account.
Valhalla is just one of three big budget open world games that Ubisoft is set to release before the year is out. It's joined by Watch Dogs Legion at the end of this month (on PS4), and Immortals Fenyx Rising in December. Busy times for the French publisher.

Another 'trail' type game 🙄
Been looking forward to this for a long time, I'll be playing this for the next 6 months easily.
I can't wait to play it!
Can't wait to play but first I have to go through at least one cyberpunk playthrough
I think they should rename the series "History Heroes" and diehard fans will be happy😂
Still on the fence whether or not I should get this at launch for my PS5. (already got MM: Spiderman Ultimate Edition and Planet Coaster coming).
I've not tried the new gameplay loop that started with Origins and then Odyssey and would like to try it. The time period interests me also as King Alfred was a period I studied 1st year at uni... But then again I've bought so many from the franchise and still not finished them and this could just end up on the pile as well.
Out of the ones I have, AC2, Brotherhood, AC3, Black Flag, Rogue and Syndicate. I've only ever finished AC2
@Perryg92 "I've not tried the new gameplay loop that started with Origins and then Odyssey and would like to try it."
I'd recommend playing Origins and Odyssey first(although that'd take you about a year), they are both amazing games that put practically everything else released last gen to shame.
So excited for this.
Ghost of Tsushima left me wanting another big open world game. An AC at the level of Odyssey would do the trick!
I just hope the lead character can live up to Kass.
Im interested in this, but after the unity debacle at the start of the PS4 life cycle, i am definitely waiting on reviews first
If it wasn't for Cyberpunk I would probably be more excited about this. Love the Viking/Old England setting but can't see myself bothering with it until later next year.
Still undecided on what 'next gen' game to buy for when my PS5 turns up. Problem is I need to get GoT and Cyberpunk at the very least so seems foolish to spend full dollar on this day 1 when a little patience will save me a lot of money
@HMazzy111 I'm waiting for the next gen version of Cyberpunk which should come out around the time I finish Valhalla.
Oh the game that isn't an AC game but has the AC name slapped onto it. Meh
@Nepp67 What's up with you fake "fans" of the series who have never actually played any of the games but push this weird false narrative that the AC games have changed in recent iterations? AC games have always been full of RPG elements, the only difference with the modern games is more customization, larger open worlds, and lots more stuff to do.
@710King You're going to finish Valhalla in 9 days are you? That's going to be some long nights!
@HMazzy111 The next gen version of Cyberpunk doesn't come out until spring/summer 2021 unless they've announced something new I haven't seen.
@710King everything I've seen says you'll be able to play Cyberpunk from day 1 on PS5.
@HMazzy111 That's the PS4 backwards compatible version. They are releasing a "true next gen version" for the PS5/XSX sometime next year.
@710King Seems a long time to wait. I'm not patient enough for that, I'll be playing it launch day and then I'll enjoy the free next gen upgrade whenever that comes out as well.
@HMazzy111 Yeah a lot of people are on the fence about waiting for the next gen versions or not. I will because I have Valhalla to play but if I didn't Cyberpunk would be like the only thing worth playing for months.
Things I'm gonna pass on temporarily for Cyberpunk 2077:
AC Valhalla
Watchdogs Legion
PS5
Life
@710King You call people "fake fans" when you seem to be a fake fan yourself.
@Nepp67 I've 100%'d every Assassin's Creed game since I bought the first game on it's launch day back in 2007. Aside from the Fallout and Elder Scrolls series, there are no other games I've sunk as much time into as the AC games. And for both series I've seen bizarre false narratives emerge in recent years from people who don't play the games.
@710King Oooorrr you're just really biased and don't like people's opinion bashing your favorite game. I can really tell. I'll wait for now until we get a proper AC game like Unity cause Valhalla isn't anything like Assassin's Creed.
@710King The fact you say 2 games put "everything to shame" from this gen really says you're an over zealous fan. How many franchises of this gen have you played? There's no way you've played every Switch/ps4/Xbox one game that has come out so the statement is a presumptuous one, anyway.
I still need to play Origins and Odyssey, so I don't mind waiting for a sale on this one. =)
I was really looking forward to this, but I was disappointed when I heard that there are no traditional side quests. I'm sure it will still be good, but one of my favourite things about the last two games, especially Odyssey was all the people wanting your help.
Not a chance, this looks like a typical ubi snoozefest. Especially after that bloated mess that is Odyssey. Plus they haven't written a decent AC character since Ezio.
Life is too short!
Oof, that's going to be a bit tight getting all the discs made and sent out to stores across the world in just over 3 weeks. Especially in a pandemic.
Cyberpunk is definitely first on the list for my ps5 launch day but this will be next 100% 🖖
@Rob_230 Unity was a debacle because it was PS4/XB1/PC exclusive and rushed to be the first AC next gen title...plus they had the tacked on 4 person multiplayer.
Valhalla is more in comparison to AC4: Black Flag since it's cross-gen (releasing on PS5/Series X and PS4/XB1 + PC).
You mean Ubisoft have actually finished an Assassin's Creed game before shipping it? Hell truly has frozen over!
@anon_pel222
It's going to be tough for me, I'll be playing watch dogs legion, then vallhalla will come out then the big one cyberpunk, I mean ubisoft don't even compare to cd projekt but there games are hit and miss, when there good there good. Watch dogs 2, very good, ghost recon ,garbage.
