You didn't think coronavirus would keep Geoff Keighley from doing The Game Awards, did you? The presenter and producer is bringing the awards show back in 2020 despite the obvious hurdles, and it sounds like it'll be just as big.
Mark your calendars: The Game Awards 2020 will go live on 10th December. Furthermore, it will be broadcast from three different locations — Los Angeles, London, and Tokyo. Similar to Gamescom Opening Night Live, presenters will appear on sets with no live audience, while nominees will be present via video. Apparently, all the core tenets of the show will be there, including awards, announcements, and big reveals.
It should be a very interesting show, given it takes place after both next-gen consoles launch. We will of course be watching — will you be tuning in? Debate what should win Game of the Year in the comments section below.

Cool, will be something nice to play in the background while on the PS5! Always good for a surprise or 2!
@redd214 Now that’s a crazy thought, the PS5 will be out.
@nessisonett yeah man, we're only 50 days out!!

There is no time, only a date, so are they running 3 different shows, 1 for each of the 3 time zones, or 1 live show from each?
And why no times either way?
Is it possible to pick a time, that makes sense, that all 3 cities will be broadcasting it Dec 10? I know NY and Tokyo are about 12 hours apart, trying to pick 1 time in my head.
For example:
5:00PM Thursday Dec 10 in LA is 1:00AM Friday Dec 11, in London and 9AM Friday Dec 11 in Tokyo.
I picked 5PM LA time since these shows usually start at 8PM in NY.
Only cool thing to ever happen at this show wad drunk Jade Raymond
I know its not the popular opinion, but I actually like The Game Awards.
I forgot about this...
@Ken_Kaniff Yeah same, they need to iron out the kinks but it’s a great idea and they could do some great things with it.
Not sure about this year. I don’t want to watch the awards just for a big announcement of Fast & Furious lol.
OOOOOOOOOOHHHH Elden Ring
@nessisonett Yea i just hope they never go back to that format where Joel McHale hosted. That was a disaster.
@Ken_Kaniff I somehow expunged that from my memory. Oh no, you made me remember the overwhelming cringe...
