There’s a recurring Spider-Cop gag right the way through Marvel’s Spider-Man, but was Insomniac Games planning a secret suit as the final punchline? It certainly looks like it, as one modder has discovered a partially completed police-themed outfit in the release’s source code. While the character is stuck in a T-Pose, we can see how the outfit would have looked.
Fascinatingly, the model utilises Stan Lee’s moustache for its facial hair, and also would have included two Special Abilities, one allowing you to summon cops to assist you and the other enabling you to launch a donut-shaped drone. Clearly the developer was just messing around with this content, but it could have proved a nice Easter Egg if it was ever finished, eh?

It would have been a nice touch, especially given Stan the Man passed away only a couple of months after release. At least we’ll always have the other Easter egg. I hope Miles Morales honours him and Ditko in some way. I also wonder if they’ll do anything for Bendis, he did create him after all.
Those spider cop comments at the beginning are some of my favorite parts. This would have been amazing.
Maybe for the PS5 remaster
Spider-Man 2 needs this. I want ray traced moustache hairs.
I kind want this, it would make the Spider Cop dialogue feel complete.
If they could add Stan Lee's Voice that would be epic. Spiderman role playing Stan the man.
A shame it didn't get made into the game. The ability of summoning cops into the battlefield is cool but it really makes you wonder how it would look in certain situations like the Doc Ock boss fight.
