Part of the DNA of the Tony Hawk series has always been the music, and Activision clearly understands that. It's bringing back the original two games with Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1 + 2, a full remake for PlayStation 4, and it includes most (but not all) of the licensed songs from the PS1 classics. To supplement the soundtrack for this modern take on the beloved games, more than 30 additional tracks have been announced.

Over on the PlayStation Blog, you can see a full list of the extra songs. There are 37 tracks joining the classic lineup, with the aim to "represent the ever-growing and diverse soundtrack of skateboarding culture". You can get a taste of the range coming to the game in the above video, which showcases the likes of Deathwire by Rough Francis, Bass by Merkules, and Bloody Valentine by Machine Gun Kelly. Other artists include Billy Talent, Reel Big Fish, and A Tribe Called Quest -- yes, Can I Kick It is part of the soundtrack.

It seems to us the music will be pretty diverse, but it all seems pretty fitting. Just like the roster of new skaters, the remake's soundtrack is mixing old with new. It's shaping up nicely, then -- but what do you think? Are all these tunes getting you in the mood for Tony Hawk's Pro Skater? Tell us your favourites from the track list in the comments section below.
