You may not have noticed Rockstar’s abandonment of Red Dead Online, but franchise fans certainly have. While the company continues to pour obscene sums of money into adding features to GTA Online, it’s been a whopping seven months since the Western’s acclaimed Moonshine update, and the wait for additional content is clearly getting to fans.

The video embedded above shows an entire lobby of players dressed as clowns. According to a report on PCGamesN, this all started on Discord and Reddit, where fans have been holding impromptu fashion shows. “Since we’re all clowns for believing we’ll get an update, it’s fitting that we dress up as them in-game, too,” one of the organisers explained.

To be honest, we really appreciate stuff like this. Rockstar may have effectively abandoned the game, but fans are finding new ways to make their own fun, and we suppose that’s testament to the strength of the original package. Alas, with GTA 5 set to release on the PS5 next year, there’s very little hope of the label turning its attention elsewhere.
