Want to know when you can get your hands on the Warehouse demo for Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1 + 2? Activision has just dropped some new information on the upcoming remake, and it includes a date for early access to the iconic Warehouse stage -- with a catch.
Digital pre-orders are now live for the game on PlayStation Store. If you do pre-order, you'll be granted access to the Warehouse demo when it arrives on 14th August. The full game then follows on 4th September.
What's more, Activision has announced the collection will feature some brand new characters to use. In addition to the classic roster, eight new skaters will be filling out the ranks. These new faces are Lizzie Armanto, Leo Baker, Leticia Bufoni, Riley Hawk, Nyjah Huston, Tyshawn Jones, Aori Nishimura, and Shane O’Neill. As you'd expect, these newbies -- all accomplished skateboarders in the real world, of course -- all come with their own stats and signature tricks, just like the old guard. You can read more about each of them on the PlayStation Blog.

Nice to see some fresh faces getting some screen time in this. Looking forward to playing!
Absolutely brilliant news, they’re a great bunch of skaters and I actually might pre-order this for my sins. I really hope it isn’t like THPS5 but the fact there’s a demo at all makes me think they’re confident.
I feel like gaming has come a long way since the tony hawk pro skater era and the gameplay in these games just isn’t enough now.
I am hoping that they add AEW's Darby Allen as a secret character.
Can you even preorder the PS4 version on PSN? Last I checked, you couldn't.
The warehouse demo alone provided dozens of hours of entertainment for me as a kid, let's see if I get as much mileage out of this one lol!
@GigaGaia it's in the store now, in the US at least.
Guess the days of demos being released to entice you to buy a game are long gone. I'll wait for a price drop on this one I think.
Sometimes they give the demo codes away with amazon pre orders. If this is one of those you could always pre order, get the demo and then cancel your order if you dont want to plunge on the full game. They only take payment when its actually dispatched so you wont be out of pocket as long as you cancel it in time.
@Kyroki That would be awesome lol. He has been hanging out with Tony Hawk as of late.
@MarcG420 I still go back to THPS HD on PS3 and while it is dated in some regards, it’s still totally playable and fun.
@KahnArtizt07 I’m glad you still enjoy it, that’s great for you. I just don’t think I could.
It just feels right to have Riley Hawk, Tony's son, as a character.
It does make me laugh how they only give the demo if you pre order 😂. I will just wait and see the reviews when its out. Pretty exited tho as i loved noth these games back in the day.
pre ordering for a demo is beyond stupid. Pass. I'll wait for skate 4.
Kind of defeats the purpose of a demo, having to buy the game first?
Looking forward too much! And what about some PERALTA, ADAMS and ALVA legends?????
I assume this is for the ps digital version I wonder if they will give a code for physical i would then cancel the preordee then you can try the demo out
Looks great but after THPS5 im going too need that demo too convince me first.
Eh, I've seen enough gameplay now to know the games are nearly 1:1 remakes and I have no interest. I loved these games back in the 90s when I was a kid but after playing Underground up to Proving Ground (Didn't actually complete Proving Ground, but played) I know now what was more fun. I loved the Spyro, CTR and Crash remakes because they still hold up as good platformers (And kart racer) today and also so do the old ones, except graphically. Tony Hawk's Pro Skater series doesn't do this, the awkward constant rolling that is hard to control, the frustration when you can't just get off your board to walk back to a place where you need to retry a trick and the measly 2 minutes you get to see what you want to AND complete as many goals as possible. Acti are just trying to milk EVERYONE'S nostalgia and although I do have some, especially hearing that classic music from the THPS 2 menu, it won't fly this time. They need to come up with new stuff and not just revive old games that tbh died in the 90s for a reason.
@Jayofmaya I completed THPS 1,2 and 3 for the first time over the last couple of weeks. While I appreciate the jump to free roam, the originals deliver an experience that definitely holds up today. I’d argue the gameplay and level design’s actually tighter since every area needs to be skatable to facilitate the high score goals. In the later ones, the high score goals weren’t as fun due to the levels being bigger with more wasted space. With a proper frame rate, ironed out bugs and those great graphics, this remake could be something special.
@nessisonett Okay, I wrote a massive comment but I'm gonna simplify it: Between Underground 1, 2 and American Wasteland nearly ALL levels from the OG AND THPS2 were available (Chopper Drop, New York, Burnside, Streets and Skate Heaven being the exceptions). I don't mention Bullring because Slam City Jam is basically better version, nor Skatestreet because Tampa has a very similar park inside the warehouse in that level. Finally, I don't mention Roswell, do we really need it when we have Bermuda, as well? That level was way more fun. So if they made a triple remake of the ps2 era games (Like the other triples of Crash and Spyro) then it would have been better. Plus we would have the freedom to get off board if we so chose and also get a proper story from Underground/American Wasteland. If they were to add just one of those levels I mentioned earlier, it should be Burnside as it is also a real skatepark. I'm not sure why anyone would think it wouldn't be better.
@Kidfunkadelic83 as much as I hate Activision, the companies they have had do their remakes (Crash and Spyro) have done amazing jobs. I think this will end up being be pretty good.
