Here's a juicy little story for you: Square Enix is currently recruiting for an action game, and it's already got Ryota Suzuki on board. Suzuki previously worked at Capcom, where he was a designer on Devil May Cry 5, and the gameplay lead for Dragon's Dogma. Suzuki is reportedly the 'battle director' on this new Square Enix project.
We don't have much to go on when it comes to the game itself, although the wording of the publisher's recruitment page makes it seem as though it's an action RPG of some kind.
There's some exciting potential here, but given that the company is still gathering talent for this thing, it's safe to assume that we won't hear much about the project for a long while yet.

There Master. Snow harpies!
@playstation1995 "come on capcom give me dragon dogma 2.and give me a arcade port of caddilacs and dinosaurs."
Yes yes yes.
I was just saying to someone yesterday that I want Caddilacs and Dinosaurs more than I want Dino Crisis.
Well this is intriguing. Hopefully this actually amounts to something.
@Shepherd_Tallon. I play caddilacs and dinosaurs men great games.once upon a time in the arcades capcom was legendary.and dragon dogma is amazing still playing it as a mage.word up son
Square Enix need to reel it in and finish one game before starting another 12.
Finish FF7 please.
@Shepherd_Tallon. Strength in numbers arisen 😀.word up son
@playstation1995 Strength in numbers. I love it. 😎
But yeah, those old Capcom arcade games were the best. So many coins spent in those machines on a Saturday afternoon.
Remember Type-Next?
Don't wanna get too excited but that sounds like magic waiting to happen, will definitely be keeping an eye out for more stories on that development in the future!
@nookie_egg They have a lot of different teams, 7 is still in the process of part 2, dragon quest 12 is in development, wouldn't surprise me if kingdom hearts dream drop 378/5 2.8 days is being made too.
There's nothing wrong with handling multiple projects.
@Cloud39472 There is when the projects take upwards of 5 years from announcement. It is possible to spread yourselves too thin I guess.
Dragon's Dogma 2. That's all I want. I'll get it day one, exclusive edition, I don't care, just gimme...
@nookie_egg Sure, you can spread yourself too thin but I think it's a bit much to assume that's what's going on from a small story about the possibility of a new game being in development.
Final Fantasy 7 is their main focus, man power has never been the problem. Its just their general incompetence a lot of the time, like getting third parties involved in their biggest project ever for example.
Now Arisen, God I hope its dragon's dogma 2.
@Cloud39472 Not just getting them involved, letting them get x amount through a project and then scrapping it and starting again lol. Their business decisions are mind blowing sometimes.
Their last attempt to copy someone's work (Tales and MGS) didn't work. Hopefully this one turns out to be better.
