We've just had the announcement of Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1 + 2, bringing the first two games to PlayStation 4. Vicarious Visions is back on remake duties, and judging by the debut trailer, it's looking fantastic.
More details have emerged, of course, and it sounds like this will be a comprehensive return. In addition to bringing back all the levels, skaters, and (some) of the music you remember, the remakes will offer all the modes you used to play. Over on the PlayStation Blog, Activision's James Mattone says we'll be able to play solo or in local co-op via split-screen, which is always nice to have. Also included is online multiplayer, so modes like H.O.R.S.E will find new life with online opponents.
Online will also enhance Create-a-Park which, along with Create-a-Skater, also returns. This time, you'll be able to build your own skate parks and then share them online for others to play.
It's all sounding pretty great right now, and we're definitely excited to get back on the board. What do you think of this Tony Hawk remake collection? Shred the comments section below.

Wow, even the creation modes? This is great news, especially having all the old skaters because I have so much nostalgia for that group of them. The current crop aren’t bad but having Bob Burnquist, Rodney Mullen, Tony Hawk etc all in their prime? That’s rad.
Man, Geoff Keighley really delivered on this one. This is gonna be so cool
When the Mafia news comes out tomorrow this is just gonna set up the rest of the year perfectly
Cue the “what about Spider-Man” questions 😂
@ztpayne7 I also want Spyro and Crash Bandicoot to be playable skaters!
Brilliant loving this news. Cannot wait. Deffo worth the remaster, I wouldnt even mind matt Hoffmans Pro bmw being remastered either. But this is great news.
@ztpayne7 spiderman from ps1 ill take that to 😋
Im going to spend so much time recreating my Area 51 skate park on this 😃
@KidBoruto it's not a bad shout, and i wouldnt be surprised. After all, Spyro does have those skateboarding sections in his own game!
If Crash Team Racing is anything to go by, this should get stellar post-release support.
Talk about the soundtrack.
