We've been waiting what feels like an eternity for Final Fantasy VII Remake, so this is pretty big news: the game's finally finished and ready to ship ahead of its 10th April release date. The news comes via director Tetsuya Nomura, who confirmed in a new interview with Japanese site 4Gamer that development's done -- future updates and content excluded. In other words, the game's gone gold.
"Yes, it’s all right now. We needed a little more time for some of the last quality improvements, but it has already gone gold and there won’t be any further delays," said a no doubt relieved Nomura.
It's been a long time coming, but this is it, folks -- it's actually happening. Pray that production and shipping go smoothly in the comments section below.

Excellent! I loved the demo. Looking forward to this to say the least.
Rumor has it that it's been delayed another year! 😏
@NYJetsfan123 If you don’t have PS4.
The demo only made me more hyped for this, I can’t wait at all!!!
Just finished the demo, loved it, but I'm still so concerned for the full chapter release in terms of things to do, I've said it before and I'll say it again. "Please don't be S%$t!"
Just play the demo.this game is pretty impressive.amazing graphics.and the story and gameplay is pretty ravishing without being rude.word up son
@playstation1995
Just finished downloading it! Can't wait. How long it take you to finish it? Most people saying it's tight!
I'm old enough to remember being excited when games went gold. But now the sooner the game gold goes before it's release date the larger the day 1 patch is going to be. And the day 2 patch. And 3. And 4.
For a Squenix game though I guess it's still impressive, at least it means the game is going to release on it's latest release date, no more delays. But I'm still once bitten twice shy from FFXV. And I'm quoting Great White, so just kill me now.

Always appreciate a classic rock reference! Really hope the 60s and 70s music I've been engraining into my kids Carry's on! (My wayward son)
Anybody on the fence about the demo, just download it!! It completely blew my expectations! And they were quite high. Push square a lil crazy with their hands on review. The game is amazing!!!!!
Loved the demo, combat, menus and general feel. Felt like i was in Midgar
Just curious how they will flesh out a previous 5-7 hour section in the original to a 40-50 hour game in the remake.
Hope the sidequests and additional story holds up
Undecided do I keep my special edition steelbook or buy the digital version, amazon usually need 2 weeks to ships to my country. The steelbook kind of suck with 3D render of sephiroth rather than 2D art by yoshitaka amano. I think I'm gonna cancel it and buy the digital version instead
@NYJetsfan123. More than a hour.the gameplay is so smooth.you press x and you slow down the game.you can use your spell and special moves.wow amazing.but the graphics to me is the real star.i know the game is a really good looking game.but when i play it on my 📺 tv i cant believe how amazing final fantasy 7 remake looks.and baret is a funny guy.haha.singing the final fantasy song after each defeat.haha.word ☝ up son
@DeepSpace5D buuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuurn
@NYJetsfan123 I have 1 teenage son who really isn't into music at all - he says metal is ok but he hates grunge, the last genre that mattered. My other son is into classic rock, mostly Queen and Journey, but Carry On is one of his songs which made me think of them.
It is definitely a father's job to get their kids into good music. A lot easier than trying to get them into college.
After playing the demo yesterday I have gone from pretty excited to super hyped!Can't wait to get my Special Edition soon.
The combat in this game is much more satisfying than I expected it to be. That and the cutscenes are probably my favorite part!
