Popular manga and anime property Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba is getting its own video game adaptation, and it's coming to PlayStation 4 in 2021. At the time of writing we don't know who the developer is, but early information suggests that this is going to be yet another anime-based arena brawler, like the recent One Punch Man: A Hero Nobody Knows, or One Piece: Burning Blood, or My Hero One's Justice, or... Well, you get the idea.
And that's just about all we have to go on right now. Demon Slayer itself has had its popularity soar here in the West over the last year or so thanks to the localisation of the anime, and it continues to be a hit in Japan as one of Weekly Shonen Jump's main features.

I suppose a painfully generic anime deserves a painfully generic game to go with it.
Stop with the arena fighters, just stop.
This is why I’m more hyped for the fairy tail game than anime games based on properties I actually like.
Also if they make fighters, give a license to capcom, I love their jojo game on the dreamcast.
@Enuo wasn’t demon slayer voted to be the best and most influential anime of the 2010’s?
EDIT: even though it was released in 2019.
Well arena fighters can work but given it's a relatively new IP it will probably be bare bones like so many of Bandai Namco's anime games that aint Dragon Ball or Naruto are
@darkswabber it's just the flavor of the month that's getting a huge boost thanks to it recency. The same thing happened with Yuri On Ice back in 2017.
@Enuo that makes it worse, a “flavor of the month.” got voted the best show in 10 years time because it was the most recent popular thing.
IMO jojo’s bizarre adventure should have won the influential category.
I really wish other devs could take a crack at some of the anime’s. BandaiNamco are never great, mostly okay at best.
@Enuo did you comment this on two sites?
Great anime, that'll probably get a mediocre game. Pretty sad honestly. The Rui fight alone makes that show one of my favorites of 2019, and of the last few years easily.
Looking through the comments section I can totally see...
Hoes still mad. 😂
@EchoRange If this anime can make an easy cash in then so can I.
As much as I hate arena fighters, if it's anything like the Naruto storm games then I'll love it. They're the only ones that don't feel clunky and slow
That said, I hope it's not cause storm-like arena fighters don't exist lol. They're all terrible
It's a really good show, too bad the game will probably be sub-par.
I love the series, but have no interest in this game. Yup, probably another anime/manga arena fighter developed by Namco.
Waiting for this to be available on Netflix. Heard the anime's very good.
@Enuo Demon Slayer is anything but painfully generic.
@darkswabber I am convinced you didn't actually bother watching it.
I really liked this anime at first. But when they introduced the two supporting stars, the lightning guy and the pig head, I rapidly lost interest. Then they started showing the lightning guy who all but forces himself on women, the weird crying rape-like attitude he had and that was enough to drive the show right into the gutter!
It's a shame, because it started out real strong, I was really impressed with the action and animation and the initial serious and dark tone. It's probably the most stark change I've ever seen an anime make before.
These all seem the same now.
@Enuo A beautifully animated anime, with very well written enjoyable characters and an excellent soundtrack that elevates an admittedly well worn story to something many people including myself enjoy. But hey, it's easy to bash something in comments.
@TromboneGamer I took a swing at this guy too haha, thanks for responding in here with positivity and have a great day!
