Yakuza 5 PS4 PlayStation 4 1

If you’ve been following the Yakuza franchise since the dark days when Sony had to step in and localise Yakuza 5 on SEGA’s behalf, then it’s probably refreshing to see a trio of Ryu ga Gotoku re-releases near the top of the UK charts. Yakuza Remastered Collection was actually the biggest new physical launch in Britain last week, despite parts of it deploying digitally over the past six months or so.

Naturally it couldn’t outperform FIFA 20 or Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, which occupied the top two places respectively. It did outsell Dreams in 8th, though, which has been in Early Access since last April – and, honestly, seems more suited to the PlayStation Store. The other big new release, Darksiders: Genesis, narrowly missed out on a top ten finish, settling for 11th position, while the repackaged Street Fighter V: Champion Edition could only climb as high as 37th place.
