The Division 2 is about to get a whole lot bigger in the coming weeks with the launch of its biggest expansion yet, Warlords of New York, but you can snap up the base game for cheaper than ever at the moment. Ubisoft's looter shooter is being sold for just $2.99 on the US PlayStation Store until 3rd March. It is slightly more expensive in the UK, coming in at a price of £7.99, but the discount still represents a great saving.
What's more, you'll get every piece of DLC already released for the game at no extra cost. The three episodes that have made their way to The Division 2 since its March 2019 launch have been free to all players, meaning you can get caught up without spending an extra penny ahead of the return to New York City.

Free to play incoming?
Nah, still a pass from me. Still got the first and never play it. Can't be doing with that Gear Score BS... same reason I didn't buy Breakpoint.
Just bought it. Never played neither the first one or this, but at that pricepoint ... But @get2sammyb may be spot on...
$3 is tempting but I’d never play it. Must resist
Well I will bit.. Even if its 74kr here in Denmark
Hmm the bargain hunter in me wants to buy it but I am just not into looter shooters coz I dont have time to invest. Still, this price drop means they are trying to squeeze the last few quid out of it
It's a pretty solid game - especially at that price point, jeez - but it is fairly repetitive at a certain point. The incoming New York expansion, which is what they really want to sell you, could remedy that.
When I saw $2.99 I thought, well that's worth a pop., Then I saw the Uk price and thought 'well *&^% that' They're having a laugh.
@grahamd It wouldn’t be worth it at this point.
Never clicked with the first so the second has never been on my radar no matter the price. I did pick up the stranger things game for 2.49 here in the UK which is a great price for some retro style fun.
@Rudy_Manchego If it is anything like the first one it is not so much of a time sink. It's only the end game stuff, which you can totally ignore, which could feel never ending.
I played the first one and for some reason I found it boring repetitive and generic and this is coming from a Monster Hunter fan which is a repetitive and grinding game but that game has a lot of charm and this one felt soulless, in my opinion if you want to play a loot shooter go with Borderlands
@LiamCroft Thanks for the heads up! Definitely downloading this for that low entry fee.
But does it come with one of Tim Wonnacott’s natty scarves?
@Paranoimia ok so why are you on here?
I bought it for $15 bucks a couple months back.....
Whatever, I didn't really like it, so...whatever....
I tried the first one but gave up after constantly running into snipers that were way more levels above me. Admittedly the 2.99 got me intrested but then those memories came back
Great Value at that price. Even just for the campaign and nothing else it's a very solid shooter and well worth it for 3 bucks. Looking forward to sinking my teeth back in it in a few weeks!
@Undeadlogan Because having played the first gives me an opinion on the second, and sharing opinions are what the comments are for. And with that in mind, I notice that I've contributed more to the discussion than you, so... same question back at you.
@Corona_El_Virus Just because someone doesn't enjoy something like you do and is stating his dislike for something doesn't mean you can insult him like that, having to jump to those words makes you the 9 year old in that situation as you cannot accept that people have different opinions.
@Paranoimia did not insult anyone who enjoyed it, just simply said it was still a pass for him and explained a reason why he personally, did not enjoy it.
I recommend you take a breather, hug a family member and have an ice cold glass of water to cool you down sir, and then come back when you feel calm enough to talk to people with decency and respect.
@Bagshot same as me, I bought 2 and played a bit but I'm not arsed either, it is pretty much same thing all over again but in all honesty I preffered d1 setting, so it's like a step back for me.
@darksoul77 think they are free on phone aren't they?
Wow it's a really good game as well better looking and less grind than 1.
Well i think i might have to bite on this now been tempted for a while, even if i just play the game which is probably what i will do, 8quid is less than an hours work and im sure ill play more than an hour so value for money. But still got control, wreckfest, and sp for dreams to finish and im tempted to sink some proper hrs into dreams see if it clicks this time.
@DonJorginho
The username says it all.... Mocking a virus that's killing hundreds if not thousands of people around the world. Yeah that's a sure sign of immaturity. I agree with you on your comment, but it's definitely not worth feeding the trolls.
@grahamd don't buy the year 1 pass. Is not worth it.
It's not a bad game. The pve it's even better than the first. But the pvp is a lot worse.
But It gets me a litle angry that I paid 80 or 90 euros for this game just a year ago.. And the year 1 pass it's just early access (1 week) to new content and a couple of really small exclusive missions..
This game has so much potential but..
The number of People playing it has been droping, so the promotion makes sense, in order to atract more people..
For this price, buy it.
I'd want to grab it at this price, but why am I feeling this will be a PS+ game soon like the original was a year ago. With a big paid expansion coming I wouldn't be surprised.
@3MonthBeef i really don't get your comment. But anyway, Is it that normal to go from 60 euros to 8 in one year ? I don't think so..
Also, I played a lot the first division, so it's normal to want to play the second game, with New content. And the game got out full of bugs. It was really bad.
But at this prince, go for it.
Great to see everyone deciding on a 3 dollar purchase. PLEASE do not buy. For everyone wanting an open world game with spectacular graphics, tight open world gameplay loop, and an amazing environment where there is tons to do, please do purchase. After getting D2 on a sale, I have not had so much fun with solo play and love hitting a button to have nearby agents pop over and help me out. Think Fallout with better loot, better mechanics, and better progression. The story is generic and barely there BUT this is an amazing game that looks and play great especially at 4K/HDR. It’s a cover based shooter (somewhat) but you can get a shield and go in guns blazing. Anyway..give it a try and add me. Love, love, LOVE this game!

@LaJettatura so...pass?
I picked it up! 😁
@frankmcma I bought it day one and played it thoroughly until I got stuck on ESO. I’ll be revisiting it now that there’s new content. I honestly can’t understand the hatred this game has gotten since release. Almost resoundingly hated.
Didn't Ubi start a subscription service on PC similar to EA Access. Thought if successful would come to PS/Xbox at some point.
@JohnnyShoulder Hmm well if it gets cheaper in UK I may leap on it then!
Have played the UK version, I’m expecting if I got the $2.99 version from the USA my save wouldn't work? 🤔
After hearing not so great reviews on the first division i decided not to get it. I hated the idea of human bullet sponges especially. Had no plans on getting the sequel but figured for $4 what the hell, ill try it seeing as i was very interested leading up to the first division.
Turns out im having a blast!! Just playing the single player mode but definitely enjoying myself. I find the mechanics and open world just working for me, i like it.
So if anyones on the fence id say just go for it while its on sale.
Got it on pc for £2.50 yeah they give it cheap on that platform but not ps
@Paranoimia whatever you say babe
I bought the division last Xmas for about the same price as the division 2 is now, when the game first came up, I wasn't really interested in it, but since last Xmas that is all I have been playing, it's such an addictive game, yes it might be repetitive as some of you have said, but my cousin and I have had some fun playing it, ( he bought it before me, had to wait for me to be up to his level) now I'm doing end game activities, replaying missions at higher difficulties to get better gear, and I'm at 77% of Platinum which is not something I do on every game since I play games to enjoy them, however I might try to do it on this one, I will be buying the second one definitely, specially at this price rate!
If Sony blessed us EU customers with the same price as our US conterparts, maybe I'd budge. Why would/should I pay £5 more for it?? It's digital for god's sake, shouldn't worldwide prices be aligned in this day and age?? Or am I being dumb?
