Video game adaptations are in vogue it seems, as on the anniversary of Sonic the Hedgehog’s box office debut, Sony Pictures has announced that it’s partnering with Smilegate to bring Counter-Strike clone Crossfire to the silver screen. It’ll be produced by the Fast & Furious’ Neal H. Moritz, with Tencent Pictures co-producing and co-financing the project.
The Chinese giant’s involvement with the flick is not surprising, seeing as its own conversion of the title has driven it to over one billion registered users. As an aside, Control developer Remedy is working on a single player campaign component for the shooter, so it’ll be interesting to see whether the movie connects to that at all.

Considering that the game is, as of right now only Xbox One and PC, really makes you wonder the possibility of a PS4 port.
Yet the uncharted movie seems impossible
Biggest FPS of all time and I had genuinely never heard of it until late last year.
