Call of Duty: Modern Warfare’s hotly anticipated Battle Royale mode is one of the worst kept secrets in the video game industry right now, and more intel is tumbling out. VGC, citing development sources, reports that the collaboration between Infinity Ward and Raven Software will roll out in early March – assuming everything goes to plan behind-the-scenes.
Perhaps most interestingly, the website claims that it’ll be available both within Modern Warfare as a patch and as a free standalone download from the PlayStation Store. Those who opt for the latter will be able to purchase an upgrade to the full version of the first-person shooter, which will unlock the campaign and competitive multiplayer.
We’ll allegedly learn more about the add-on imminently, as Activision ramps up its marketing activities with an influencer-focused hands on event. Are you looking forward to more Call of Duty-themed Battle Royale combat? Be the last man standing in the comments section below.

Hooray, another 5 million GB patch for Modern Warfare!
Influencer? More like influenza...
So it should be free, with the amount of money they make on the Season Passes and cosmetics.
@GoodGame The free part is the funny part people get so happy with that. Its just a waay tol strip everything from the game and make you pay for every small thing.
