Big in Japan, one of PlayStation Store's semi-regular sales, is back today, bringing hundreds of discounts on all the Japanese PS4 games you could want. It's arrived on both the European and North American Stores, and the selections are largely the same. Let's have a quick look.
Some big names are here in force -- Kingdom Hearts III, Devil May Cry 5, Yakuza 6, and Ace Combat 7: Skies Unknown are included, all carrying pretty hefty discounts. There's more where that came from, of course, with other popular Japanese games like Dragon Quest XI, Monster Hunter World: Iceborne, and Dark Souls III present and correct.
Some smaller titles we'd recommend include PixelJunk Monsters 2, Mega Man 11, and The Missing. There's a lot to like in this sale, so be sure to check the full lists over on the EU and US PlayStation Blogs. The sale begins today -- 21st February -- and lasts through to 3rd March in Europe and 6th March in North America.
Will you be grabbing any Japanese PS4 games in this sale? Let us know what's tempting you in the comments below.

Doesn't look like its live in eu/uk yet
I see Final Fantasys 1-6 listed but it says compatible with PS3/PSP so not PS4?
Some of these prices are awful. Even with this discount, FFXII is £6.50 more than it is on Amazon, Dragon Quest Heroes II is £8 more expensive and Dragon Quest Builders 2 is £10 more expensive. Buy those 3 games and it'll cost you almost £25 more than their standard physical price. 🤣
There's some savings, though. FFXV Royal Edition is just under a fiver less than a physical copy. The excellent Valkyria Chronicles is £11 cheaper.
@johnny30 It is for me, though I checked on my phone browser so maybe the banner for it was easier to find than on the PS4 version. Actually some of these things have been on sale since the 19th which is weird.
Nice, will finally be getting Nier Automata now that it's half price. Been waiting on a good sale for that one!
PixelJunk™ Monsters 2 is down to £2.49, very tempting at that price.
Im thinking about spirit hunter: ng on vita, as who knows if that will go on sale again. The dlc for death mark is half price too. Im tempted by zanki zero and catherine on the PS4 side, but ill play the demos first
... oooooh 5 Nights on VR for half price? That's mine! (and End of Zoe on VR too!) I may even get Days Gone... xD TOO MUCH CHOICE!
That P5: Ultimate Edition discount though... I know that Royal is just around the corner which is probably why P5 is on sale, but the entirety of P5 with all DLC for £16 is insane!
Zero Escape: The Nonary Games and Danganronpa 1/2 Reload both for £15 each is also fantastic and worth playing. Ace Attorney for £12 is also great.
Looking through this sale has also made me realise you can buy an add-on for RE2 which unlocks modes which you normally unlock by playing the game... really? I fail to see the point, but whatever.
Yakuza 0 for £9 is also great. If you want to get into the series, there is no better time now that all the games are available on PS4. Cannot recommend enough.
Resident Evil 0 for £4 rude not to really
Has anyone played Resonance of Fate? How does that hold up? £16 with PS Plus, so quite tempted.
Final Fantasy VIII here I come, I guess. Hopefully I like it more than I did 20 years ago.
The prices aren't great, but at least we're getting some Vita discounts. That doesn't seem to happen a lot these days.
@Matroska wasn't showing on app when i checked at 10am this morning under deals and offers
Everyone knows Japan makes the best games. It’s one of two reasons I got a PS4.
I’ll browse around on PSN. I might find something good.
@JoeBlogs It’s a very nice game. I think people disregarded both games because they are too hung up on games needing to be mature and cinematic instead of fun. I think NNK2 is a cute, fun game.
A smaller selection than in the heyday, and most titles have found its way either into my library or to eShop - but I still appreciate a sale with a tangible Vita presence these days. Despite hefty Switch spendings this payday (and the next one could have backed me up in the NA sale, so OF COURSE Europe is wrapping up several days earlier😜), I'll keep this stuff in mind - if I have funds left to spare, I might invest in Muramasa.
My poor wallet....I bought FF9 Deluxe, Trails of Cold Steel II, Ys VIII and Yakuza 6. Hopefully I'll finally finish them all before 2024 !
@Matroska Final Fantasy XV Royal Addition is showing as £14.99 for me
@ChineseJames Yeah, but that's about a fiver less than on Amazon. Quite a lot of the discounted games are still more expensive than physical copies on Amazon but FFXV is actually cheaper.
