PlayStation 4’s success has already been very well documented, but just in case you needed a swift reminder: Sony’s system was the best-selling hardware in the United States for the past decade. That means no other device outsold it in the 2010s, despite the console not launching until November 2013.
It’s hardly a surprise, of course: the system has shifted over 106 million units worldwide, making it one of the most successful consoles of all-time. It was outsold by the Nintendo Switch in 2019, but the device’s life is coming to an end, with the PlayStation 5 scheduled to release this holiday.

It's all about the games the games sell the system and all the best games r on playstation maby if nintindo and xbox would team up they would have a chance a small one but a chance to beat playstation the numbers dont lie

The. G.o.a.t.im enjoying my ps4 pro now.sony is the best.word up son
Sadly this is probably the last PlayStation to reach 100M unit sold. With the lastest movements I don't see them selling those number anymore.
Glad PlayStation did great but this new decade doesn't look too good in general especially for consoles with the abuse of DLC, season passes, patches, micro transactions and now the desire for exclusives to be multiplatform games, so this might be my last console generation for me, either way I have a backlog of games that are gonna last me forever
