Tales of Arise, the next title in Bandai Namco's long running Tales series, was announced at E3 last year, but we still don't know much about it. All we really have to go on is a brief trailer that's honestly more proof of concept than anything else, but now the game's been rated in Korea. Eh?
Here's the thing: when a game gets an age rating, it often means that it's relatively close to release. Or at least, there's enough of a game there to actually rate. Tales of Arise has always had a 2020 release window, but given that we've seen so little of it, we were betting on it launching later in the year.
Could Tales of Arise be arriving a lot sooner than we thought? It's possible, but unless Bandai Namco suddenly kicks its marketing campaign into gear over the next few weeks, we're sceptical. Still, stranger things have happened, and either way, we're looking forward to seeing more.
Do you think Tales of Arise could actually be close? Start speculating in the comments section below.

But will it launch with a dub or will we have another year long wait? That is the question.
Imagine Bandai Namco releases a trailer tomorrow and says it's coming out on the 3rd March.
It was estimated to come out at end of February. Coiniciding with tales of the rays new content( only available in asia 😭?
I hope it's not too close. Need to save up for that (possibly incoming) collector's edition.
@johnny30 It'd be suicidal to release a JRPG right before FFVII Remake, though.
Anyway, I'm looking forward to this. Always a memorable, if slightly crazy, experience playing one of the Tales games.
@Matroska I'd buy it lol. I actually prefer the tales of series to final fantasy . Still getting the remake but wasn't thst keen on ff15
@johnny30 Yeah, 15 is the only FF I ever intentionally stopped playing. Some others I didn't finish 'cause real life got in the way, but 15... Ugh. Fortunately Remake looks a million times better. 👍
@Matroska I doubt it would be suicidal. Takes games aren’t winning new fans over. If you like tales you’re going to buy it
