The latest video game from Flower and Journey developer thatgamecompany, titled Sky: Children of Light, has always had confirmation of an eventual PlayStation 4 port, but the California-based studio has now sought to promise that the game is still on its way to Sony's current-gen machine. It makes sense too since we haven't heard anything from the studio in quite some time, making this a welcome bit of news.
In an interview with MCV, creative director Jenova Chen said: "[O]ur game runs on iPad, on PC, it will run on console in the future. Android [should come] within a month. In the future, it’s going to cross all platforms. And whether you have PlayStation or Switch we will support crossplay." Sky uses chat functionality to interact with other players, a feature we got to grips with in a Hands On piece of the iOS version.
It all sounds a bit lovey-dovey, but it's a far more palatable experience than having abuse hurled at you every ten seconds. Only text chat could be seen as a way to grief people, but from our few hours of playtime, no one used it for such nefarious purposes, and we had a jolly nice time indeed.
It doesn't look like we're any closer to getting a firm release date, although it's good to know that the team is still working on the PS4 port as we speak. Are you interested in checking out Sky: Children of Light? Form a friendship in the comments below.

Finally some good news.
Definitely interested. Journey was all sorts of amazing
Journey moved me to tears a few times. I also remember the feeling of loneliness when the person I randomly met and played with along the way decided to stop playing. What an amazing game. AND THAT ENDING!!!!
